Double Red Roses - No Work Required

Why Oso Easy® Double Red Roses?

If you've given up in your efforts to grow beautiful roses, we've got the perfect solution: The Oso Easy® Double Red Rose. Living up to its name, the Oso keeps flowering through the toughest conditions. With this rich red rose, you won't have to worry about disease susceptibility, seasonal or sporadic blooming or deadheading - it's virtually carefree!

But despite its easy care, you get the look of a professional rose garden. Not only does the Oso Easy® Double Red Rose have a double layer of petals, but it's also got vibrant red hues that are highlighted by pinkish-orange undertones. From a beautiful focal point in your plant bed to a planter next to the front door, the Oso Easy® Double Red Rose will have your guests and neighbors asking questions.

And only you'll know the secret: It's a plant-and-forget rose! Even when subjected to overhead irrigation and zero fungicides in its trial studies (factors that take out most other rose varieties), the Oso Easy® Double Red kept on growing. It resists common rose diseases like black spot and powdery mildew with ease, no need to get out the shears or harmful sprays. New flowers will grow to replace old ones without effort!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Find a spot with well-drained soil and full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day).

Plant your rose in a hole twice as wide but just as deep as the root ball. Water immediately to establish roots. Add a 3-inch layer of mulch to prevent weeds.

If you're planting in a container, select a pot that's about twice the size of your plant's shipped container and use organic soil. Place your rose, water to settle its roots, and find a sunny spot on your porch or patio to place your container.

2. Watering: Water weekly, or check the surrounding soil. When the soil is dry about 3 inches down, it's time to water your rose.

If your rose is container-planted, water until you see it flowing from the drainage holes at the bottom.

3. Fertilizing: Feed with a liquid rose fertilizer, once in the spring and once in the summer. Follow the instructions on the package.

4. Pruning: Other than for shaping purposes, no pruning is required.
