Bright White Blooms Blush to Vivid, Deep Red

Why White Lies Roses?

Rich, intoxicating fragrance plus the promise of full, bi-color blooms define the White Lies Rose. This rose delivers double flowers that emerge white and then deepen to a dark red, finishing at a richly-pigmented maroon and giving you color that's second to none.

Not only is this showy, reblooming variety known for its beauty - it's also strong and easy-growing. It attracts graceful wildlife like butterflies while resisting common diseases, so you don't have to use harsh sprays or chemicals in your garden.

From colorful hedging along driveway borders and in plant beds to containers alongside your entryway and cut stems indoors, the White Lies Rose delights in a number of spaces.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Find a spot with well-drained soil and full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day).

Plant your rose in a hole twice as wide but just as deep as the root ball. Water immediately to establish roots. Add a 3-inch layer of mulch to prevent weeds.

If you're planting in a container, select a pot that's about twice the size of your plant's shipped container and use organic soil. Place your rose, water to settle its roots, and find a sunny spot on your porch or patio to place your container.

2. Watering: Water weekly, or check the surrounding soil. When the soil is dry about 3 inches down, it's time to water your rose.

If your rose is container-planted, water until you see it flowing from the drainage holes at the bottom.

3. Fertilizing: Feed with a liquid rose fertilizer, once in the spring and once in the summer. Follow the instructions on the package.

4. Pruning: Other than shaping, no pruning is required.

Striking if You Put in the Work

After 5 weeks of constant care my two White Lies rose bushes are finally flourishing. When they arrived they were in need of some TLC and for the first 3 weeks after planting they suffered some nasty transplant shock, but with a good deal of babying and attention they've started going crazy. Now I have about a dozen buds on each bush and the attached picture was taken this morning (no, that's not a stock photo). Perhaps my experience with them was unusually set on hard mode, but I like a challenge and they are quickly becoming the center piece of my garden. So I would recommend them with the caveat that, at least in my case, they will require a significant amount of time and determination to truly make them shine. White Lies™ Rose Shrub Review

Gorgeous Rose Bush For My Wife's Birthday

I was impressed by the fast shipping, and the health of the plant when it was received. It was MUCH larger than expected and came in a large burlap bag for easy planting. I bought this bush for my wife, as I buy her a new rose bush every year on her birthday, and this year I chose to go to Fast Growing Trees for her rosebush, and I am very pleased with the rosebush that was sent, which already had two blooms and a bunch of buds. I also purchased the one-year warranty as I haven't purchased from FGT before, but I don't anticipate needing it - the rose bush has plenty of really thick nice base stalks and is extremely healthy. We received it yesterday and planted it today. It's in a bit of shock from its shipping travels and being newly planted, but I've enclosed photos of what it looked like upon arrival and when first placed in the ground. We will update the photos in a few months with what it looks like mid-summer! White Lies™ Rose Shrub Review
