Groovy Glow™ Mahonia Shrub

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and as deep as the root ball itself. Place the shrub in the hole and backfill with a mix of native soil and compost, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the ground. Add a 3-inch settled layer of mulch extending 3 feet around the shrub to conserve water, insulate roots, and suppress weeds. Water thoroughly after planting.

2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially in the first growing season to establish a deep, strong root system. Once established, water moderately, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings.

3. Pruning: Prune the Groovy Glow Mahonia in late winter or early spring to promote healthy growth and shape the shrub. Remove any dead or damaged branches, and thin out crowded sections to improve air circulation.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring as new growth emerges using a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Follow product instructions carefully to avoid over-fertilization. Follow the product's instructions for specific application rates to avoid over-fertilization.
