Beautiful clumping type
I received my bamboo in early March 2025. It was about 5 ft tall when I received it. and it is now 7-8 ft tall (nov 10 2025). It is definitely a clumping type and not a running type into the neighborhood. I ordered it against my wife's objections about running every where into my yard and the neighbor's. That has not happened. The clump, so far is about 12 inches in diameter I have ordered two more and they have been planted. HAPPY. HAPPY. HAPPY
Bamboo Clumping
My first tree was ordered in March 2025. The two more in this order came. Two days ago, they arrived perfectly and no are in a row of three bambo a Meyer lemon and a Hass avocado. All are doing well and are happy trees. The first bamboo is a clumping type. Do not be afraid of it running into the neighbors yard. It is well behaved and new chutes are part of the initial central clump.

Was concerned at first because it took the long way to get here. I followed the tracking up then down the east coast. It arrived thirsty and leggy for sunlight but in pretty good shape over all and has taken off vigorously since planting. It has doubled in size in just a few months!
