Product Description

Easy-Growing Ficus with Olive-Toned Foliage

Why Ficus Alii Braid Plants?

Delivering effortlessly strong growth with the added perk of unique olive-toned foliage, the Ficus Alii Braid Plant is the most popular cultivar of Ficus maclellandii for its virtually carefree nature and eye-catching good looks.

And not only does the Alii's foliage grow in a unique hue...but its large leaves are slender, creating an elegant drooping effect. Plus, this cultivar is much easier to grow than its sister varieties, delivering warm color and full growth without any hassle on your part. Even better is its multi-stalked, intricately braided trunk, making the Alii a particularly interesting house plant.

No fuss, no frustrating guesswork, and no flimsy, weak growth. Your Ficus Alii is more robust than anything available at your local nursery or big-box store. Don't wait - order your Ficus Alii today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Preferring full sun to partial shade, your Ficus Alii should be placed in front of a bright window but kept away from the harsh afternoon sun.

To plant your Ficus, select a container that's twice the width of the shipped container and one that has drainage holes. Use organic soil mix, place your plant and water to settle its roots.

2. Watering: To know when to water your Ficus, use your finger to check the soil's moisture level. Water your plant when there's a full inch of dryness from the top of the soil.

3. Pruning: Simply remove any dead or damaged foliage to keep your Ficus Alii growing healthy. You may trim to shape, but excessive pruning is unnecessary.

Great Sized Plant

Great size, liking this plant so far. Seems to still be adjusting to new light conditions (drops leaves daily). Looking forward to seeing it fully settled in the new space.

Beautiful plant

I waited a bit on my review do to the fact that when it first arrived it lost a number of leaves. I was not overly concerned because I had read that that may happen. I’m happy to say that it s very happy now and thriving!
