Big, Bold Color and Easy Care

Add a splash of gorgeous coral color to your landscape with the compact, easy-care Coralburst Crabapple.

Bold, warm color, spring to fall. The Coralburst Crabapple is a colorful addition to your yard, with deep, coral-red buds that open into fragrant rose-colored blooms. Spring flowers give way to clusters of small bronze fruit that persist into late fall.

Versatile, go-anywhere size. The compact size of the Coralburst Crabapple makes it ideal for any landscape, from city courtyard to cottage garden. Your Coralburst Crabapple will grow 8-10 feet tall and 12-15 feet wide, big enough to make a statement on its own or in small clusters.

Hardy and low-maintenance. With the Coralburst Crabapple, you'll get a tree that's adaptable and easy to grow. The Coralburst Crabapple does well in nearly any location and soil type - plus, it's resistant to disease and even drought when established.

Additional benefits

Attractive to birds and wildlife. Birds, bees and other wildlife love the Coralburst Crabapple's fragrant flowers and orange fruit.

Uniform, attractive shape. This compact tree has a naturally uniform shape and dense, symmetrical branches, without excessive pruning.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: The Coralburst Crabapple can thrive in any soil, but prefers moderately fertile, well-draining soil. Find a spot in your yard in full sun.

Once you've selected your spot, dig a hole that's large enough to accommodate the root ball, place your tree and fill with soil. Water the surrounding area to settle the roots.

2. Watering: The Coralburst Crabapple is drought-tolerant once established, and only needs watering during extended dry periods after the first season. Check the soil 3 inches deep, and water when dry.

3. Fertilizing: Add a 5-5-5 fertilizer in early spring each year.

4. Pruning: The Coralburst Crabapple has a naturally attractive shape without a lot of pruning. Prune lightly in late winter to remove damaged branches or unwanted growth.

Pollination Info

Coralburst® Crabapple Pollination

Coralburst® Crabapples are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Coralburst® Crabapple will drastically increase the size of your crop.
