All-Season, Easy-Care Flowering Crabapple

Why Royal Raindrops Crabapple Trees?

Bold fuchsia-pink flowers welcome spring, making the Royal Raindrops Crabapple Tree a standout selection for any garden. And unlike other ornamentals, this crabapple is unusually hardy and effortless, resisting disease, drought, and heat.

In fact, the Royal Raindrops Crabapple is known for its easy all-season elegance. In the spring, the fuchsia-pink flowers bloom against purple spiky leaves. These blooms appear in clusters along the branches, creating an eye-catching centerpiece for nearly any space.

But the Royal Raindrops Crabapple tree isn’t done stealing the show after spring. In late summer, small, vibrantly-red fruits take the place of the tree's blooms. Birds flock to the fruits, creating a graceful wildlife show. During fall, the tree shows off its incomparable purple lobed leaves, varying in shades of plum, orange, or copper.

Excellent 3 season color, wind resistant, fast growth

I can’t recommend these trees highly enough. Bought 3 last fall and they leafed out earlier this spring than other crabapple varieties around, bloomed, and have put on considerable growth in the first year. I live in the very windy high plains and I didn’t even need to stake any of them when planting to hold up well. These are very resilient trees with excellent hardiness and wind resistance, just be sure to wrap the trunks the first couple of winters to avoid sun scald damage. This is the tree you want to get if you like early spring blossoms and fantastic three season foliage.

I am pleased with all the trees purchased from FGT. All came well packaged and healthy. The last crabapple tree arrived as ordered--3 to 4 ft--but without leaves. I complained that it was only a "stick" but was assured it would do well. I dusted Root Rocket on and around the root. I now have a beautiful 6 ft tree -- full of limbs and leaves. FGT's never disappoints me.
