    Perfection

I wanted an evergreen for winter interest and an anchor in a front flower bed, and I leapt at the chance to have one that would also yield food for us. The tree arrived huge and healthy, transplanted into the ground well, and is looking fantastic so far. I snuck a leaf already and it has a lovely fragrance. I can’t wait to have it bush out more so I can prune it into a cone shape.

    Bay Laurel

They look in good shape. But I have a question. Are they the bay I can use for canning? I called and asked before. I ordered and was told yes but they don’t look quite right .

    Bay Laurel 1

There was some delay due to the covid-19 pandemic slowing the shipping. It arrived very healthy and soil in the pot was moist. Set it outside in a shady spot with 2+ hours sunlight and the roots have established in it's new large planter pot. I look forward to harvest a few young leaves in the next few weeks.

    Tall ....

Great, I ordered 4 as centerpieces for a new Knot garden, they are all very tall with no side branches but they all match and the leaves are big and healthy and I can now train them into 4 standards as soon as it warms up a bit I will trim the leader and get some side branches.
