Product Description

The Magnolia Tree for Smaller Spaces

Why Little Gem Magnolia Trees?

With the same wonderful attributes of the hardy Southern Magnolia Tree in a smaller, more manageable package, the Little Gem Magnolia Tree is ideal for landscapes that can't accommodate the 40-foot width of a typical magnolia. It makes a striking ornamental and fills in corners and borders with ease.

Plus, it boasts impressive white blooms. The ornate flowers, large and cream-hued, last longer than any of the petals on the Little Gem's cousin trees. Even better is the fact that our Little Gem Magnolia is an early bloomer and will spend half the year showing off its impressive flowers with a sweet, enchanting fragrance.

Why is Better

For starters, you're not limited to Southern regions when it comes to purchasing and planting our Little Gem - it's a hardy tree with a reputation for handling various climate conditions. And with little care, Little Gem thrives. Especially because we've planted, grown and carefully shipped each tree for maximum results in your own landscape.

So, your tree(s) will be delivered to your door and ready to thrive. And we're here to help every step of the way. Order your own Little Gem Magnolia Tree today!

Looking Great!

The tree arrived with few leaves and those began falling off, but after a couple of weeks, it began sprouting new ones and looks great now.

First of all, received it in real good condition! Followed my planting instructions to the "T" and so far so good! We got the perfect conditions for growing things here in MS. I'm watching it like a new born baby..ha I am very well pleased with it so far!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant your Little Gem Magnolia in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (4 to 8 hours of sunlight per day). Although Little Gem Magnolias prefer full sun, they can tolerate shade. For a privacy screen or hedge, plant your Little Gem Magnolias about 5 feet apart. Make sure that your tree doesn't sit in an low area of your yard that collects standing water.

Little Gem Magnolias prefer slightly acidic soil but will adapt to your natural soil, even if it's sandy or heavy in clay, as long as it's well draining. When you're ready to plant, dig a hole that's large enough to accommodate your tree's root ball. Then, place the tree, back fill the soil and water to settle the roots.

2. Watering: After planting your Little Gem Magnolia, water it once a week. Once your Magnolia is established, it's drought tolerant and will only need water during times of drought.

3. Fertilizing: Early every spring, fertilize your Little Gem Magnolia with a well-balanced fertilizer, like formula 10-10-10 or 8-8-8. White creamy flowers will emerge in the spring and keep blooming all summer and into the fall.
