A Reliable Peach Harvest, Even in the Coldest Regions!

Grow a healthy harvest of peaches all the way up to zone 4! That's right, peaches aren't just for Southerners. You can grow your own harvest of Reliance Peaches in the coldest parts of the United States.

Reliance Peaches are the cold-hardiest variety of peach. Some cold-hardy varieties are sensitive to fluctuating seasons, but the Reliance Peach remains hardy even in early and late freezes. You can feel confident knowing that an early or particularly cold winter for your region won't harm your sturdy peach tree.

After all, it's called Reliance Peach for a reason. There are a few varieties of cold-hardy peaches, but none compares to the tolerance and durability of the Reliance Peach. You'll get a reliable harvest of 15-30 lbs. each year!

The peaches are absolutely delicious. Some peaches are overly tart or don't strike the balance between sweet and acidic, but Reliance Peaches are sweet and mild without being overpowering. And these medium size peaches have the firm texture expected of a perfect peach. They’re freestone too, which means you can easily remove the stone inside without effort.

A dwarf tree, you'll love the way it fits into your landscape. Growing to only 10. ft, the Reliance Peach looks great in every yard. Large, dark green foliage hangs from the spreading branches, and in the summer they offer a perfect contrast against the yellow and red peaches that you can harvest in August.

Stunning displays of spring flowers promise a bountiful summer harvest. In the spring, you'll find the branches covered in bright pink blooms that have a deep pink center. The fragrant flowers, as the harbinger of spring, will also become the harbinger of a healthy harvest of peaches. You'll know when you see the radiant flowers, you'll be seeing sweet peaches in the next few months.

A late harvest means you can extend summer a little longer. Welcome in autumn with sweet, summery peaches that you picked in August. Fill your winter home with the warm smell of peach cobblers and pies. Or, can your peaches and enjoy the refreshing taste in spring!

Are you a novice fruit grower? The Reliance Peach is a great starter tree. Because the harvest is so reliable, it's easy to learn as it grows. The more skilled you are at pruning and pest control, the bigger your harvest will be. But the reliability of this tree gives some room to learn if you're not confident in those areas yet.

Is the Reliance Peach for you? Reliance Peach trees are perfect for you if you have wanted to grow a fruit tree, but have been intimated by the effort. They're also excellent for you if you live in a cold area or high elevation where summer fruit has difficulty growing. Reliance Peaches do need 1000 chill hours (below 45) to produce fruit, so this tree isn’t for you if you have unreliable winters.

Feel the pride and joy of growing your very own peaches! It doesn't matter if you're on the east or west coast, or somewhere in between, you can grow a Reliance Peach tree and enjoy your own harvest of sweet, juicy peaches within the next few years. Producing fruit in as little as 2 years, don't delay the experience! Order yours today!

The tree arrived in perfect condition. It was larger than I thought and it already had some leaves. It is doing incredibly well, covered with leaves and what I think are buds. I am not counting on peaches this year, but we shall see!

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Reliance Peach Tree

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Reliance Peach Tree.

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Planting & Care

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Reliance Peach Tree gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Reliance Peach Tree again after the transplant is complete.

I choose the reliance peach because I have seen it survive changing climates well and I loved the abundant, large.freestone, sweet fruit.
MARY-ANN T on Mar 19, 2018
I chose this tree because it is cold hardy and I can grow it in a container on my back patio. I have 2 fig trees from Fast Growing Trees and I love the service and response from these guys. I have never had a problem with anything I have purchased and I look forward to adding to my mini orchard on the big deck in the back!

What time of year should you plant the reliance peach tree and is fertilizer recommend?
Ollie on May 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They can be planted all year, as long as the ground isn’t frozen. If you plant your tree during the summer, especially during a heat wave of drought then give your tree extra water. Keep in mind that planting during the summer still gives your tree enough time to get rooted in before the winter.
What does -900 chill hours mean?
Shelli G on Apr 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Chill hours refer to each hour a fruit tree spends in temperatures from 32 degrees to 45 degrees. This tree needs st least 900 hours.
