  • Versatile dwarf-sized plant perfect for containers, borders and beds
  • Gorgeous blooms from spring through fall
  • Hardiest of all gardenias

A Gardenia for all Seasons

The Kleims Hardy Gardenia's versatility is as appealing as its beauty. As its name suggests, this low maintenance, evergreen shrub is the most tolerant species available. Its slow growing habit makes pruning virtually unnecessary. Combining shiny, dark green leaves with an abundance of bright, white blooms, the Kleims Hardy will bring incredible visual appeal to any location you choose. Even when the blooms fade, the evergreen leaves offer year round interest whether planted in containers, raised beds or scenic borders.

The Fragrance will Take you Back

Perhaps no floral fragrance evokes memories of summers past as does the Gardenia. Carrying its heavenly scent throughout your garden and beyond, the long-lived Kleims Gardenia will take you back and help you forge new memories for a generation. That's because you can expect to enjoy your Kleims Hardy's fresh scent season after season for up to 30 years. Wonderful on decks and patios, their dwarf size stays a convenient 2-3 feet in height and width, compact enough to brighten just about any space.

Make each new season a memorable one. Order your Kleims Hardy Gardenia today.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Kleim's Hardy Gardenia

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Kleim's Hardy Gardenia.

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Planting & Care

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Kleim's Hardy Gardenia gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Kleim's Hardy Gardenia again after the transplant is complete.
