Customer Reviews & Photos
Lovely fragrant tiny blooms
We bought these with a bunch of fruit trees, and they are my favorite purchase. Perfect little delicate flowers and pale and bright pink. They are currently growing in 10 gallon containers, but I plan to add them to the front of the bed into the ground in the fall. Hopefully they will thrive there as well. The original plants that came in were very small and kind of sad looking but they took off quickly. Warning, Japanese beetles also love them. They are the one thing that the Beetles are still on since we set up traps.

Roses for the laziest gardener
7 months ago I haphazardly plopped this in and didn’t expect much. It struggled for months and I planned to move it to a sunnier spot. However spring has just brought this rose to life so vigorously that I had to cut it back and tie it up onto the playhouse! I would add a picture I’d I knew how!
Barely surviving in my thriving garden
I ordered a couple of these because I wanted add some drift roses in my rose garden but they turned out to be the poorest looking roses in my rose garden.
We're so sorry that your roses haven't done well! One of our customer care reps is going to reach out privately and see what's going on with them. We look forward to getting this experience turned around!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Well-drained soil and full sun (6+ hours) are best for your Sweet Drift® Rose.
Dig the hole and make it twice the size of the root ball and just as deep as the container. Use your hands or a shovel to loosen the soil at the bottom of the hole. Remove your plant, place in your hole, and backfill the soil. Mulch around the plant to help retain moisture and reduce competing growth.
To plant in a container, select a pot that's about twice the size of your shipped container, use organic soil mix, and place your rose. Choose a location such as a patio, backyard, front/side of the house providing it will receive the six or more hours of full sun it requires.
2. Watering: Stick your finger into the potting soil down to a depth of 2 inches and feel around for any moisture. If the soil is dry and sandy-like, go ahead and water it until you see it escaping the drainage holes and then stop. If there is still some moisture present, leave it be until the soil dries a bit more.
3. Fertilizing: The best time to fertilize drift roses is in the spring season with a slow-release or controlled time-release fertilizer. Add another application in late summer to help with fall blooms. Be sure to follow the application instructions on the fertilizer for the best results.
4. Pruning: Drift Roses should be pruned in early spring. When you see new shoots begin to form from the canes, it's time to prune.
