still alive

had a cold snap just as I planted it, got some brown on the tips but seems to be making a comeback

Fast Growing Trees Plant ExpertHi there! We are glad to hear your Dwarf Alberta Spruce is making a comeback after the cold snap. A little tip browning can happen when plants are newly planted and weather shifts quickly. In the future, adding a protective layer like mulch around the base and using winter protection when frost is expected can help reduce stress. Always feel free to get in touch if you need any help!

Dwarf Alberta Spruce

Other than the tree arriving in a damaged box and sitting in the hot sun for a while, the tree itself is doing well so far and I'm hoping it will continue.

Fast Growing Trees Plant ExpertThank you, Renee! We're really sorry about the damaged box and the time it spent in the hot sun and we'll share that feedback with our carrier. We're really glad the tree itself is doing well so far. To help it along keep the root ball consistently moist but not waterlogged, add 2 to 3 inches of mulch around the base and hold off on fertilizing for 4 to 6 weeks. If you notice any obviously dead branches go ahead and prune them away with clean shears. If you need any help, do not hesitate to contact us!
