Why Mount St. Helens Plum Trees?
Known for its small, light pink flowers and purple foliage that lasts through the summer, the Mount St. Helens Plum is a noteworthy showpiece in any yard or garden. And compared to other trees in this species, it's hardier and compact, making it ideal for growing in small spaces or in tough weather conditions. From fragrant spring flowers and summer purple leaves with fruit to deep, wine-colored fall foliage, the Mount St. Helens is a focal point favorite.
Tolerant of a wide range of harsh conditions, the Mount St. Helens is hardy down to -30 degrees, doesn't require a ton of water, and thrives in elevations up to 6,000 feet. When it comes to this versatile flowering plum, you get it all.

Started putting on new leaves almost immediately
When it arrived it looked ok but was pruned WAY back and didn't have many leaves or branches on it. After getting it in the ground it only took maybe a couple weeks at most before new leaves started showing up! It's only been a few months, and we are in late fall now, so no significant new growth but it's put on several new leaves and some small branch starts and growth of original branches. The purple colored leaves are beautiful and it's a nice contrast in summer to all the green. I'm excited to see what it will look like next year and going forward! This is the 4th type of tree I've ordered from FGT and as with all the others, I'm very pleased!

Too soon to tell about the tree holding up under seasonal conditions.
Huge box shows up -
Huge box shows up - packaged wonderful. Planted immediately and is looking great in garden. Look forward to fruit and watch it grow.
Gorgeous
Planted this tree last fall, was a little concerned about it after transplant shock but tree held up through the winter. Now it is thriving and beautiful, the pink flowers completely cover the tree and the purple leaves are a great complement to standard greenery. I did use the root rocket fertilizer and can only imagine it helped. Highly recommend, will definitely be purchasing from fast growing trees again.
