Can't sing enough praises!
Like the orange and lemon trees I also ordered, my Gem Avocado tree is on the high end of the height range with healthy roots, a strong trunk, lots of leaves, and even some new growth! I was unexpectedly out of state when it arrived, and my uncle unboxed, watered, and stuck it in the (temp controlled) garage for me for the week. I was expecting some grumpiness and a few wilting leaves after a week in the dark and constant 65-70 degree garage, but it was happy as can be with new growth poking up at the ends! The two weeks I've had it (I can't speak for the first beyond that when I got up there, it was doing great), it has only continued to put out new leaves and spread its little branches out. There's a little wiggle room for the roots to continue to grow before I have to report which takes the stress off worrying about transplant shock because it's already stressed from the travel and new water.
Tall and healthy GEM.
Very pleased with both
Gem Avocado
The tree arrived in good shape. After a few days in a shady spot to acclimate, I planted the tree in a prepared space. I dug out the clay soil and added sand and amendments to the hole, for good drainage. I think the tree is doing well, it's my first avocado tree.
2 beautiful trees
The two trees arrived in perfect shape. No problems, they look beautiful. Can't wait to get them planted
