Fast-Growing Tree, Even in Wet Soil
Why Dawn Redwood Trees?
Year-round interest, versatility, and easy growth (even in wet soil) are just a click away with the Dawn Redwood Tree. Not only does this tree deliver good looks almost anywhere, but it also couldn't be easier to plant and grow.
Unlike similar varieties, standing water is no problem for the Dawn Redwood. If you have low areas in your landscape that puddle after heavy rains, plant the Dawn. Most trees can't survive in this type of environment, but this tree loves it and soaks it all in to grow to amazing heights of up to 50 feet!
You'll get amazing foliage and color without any hassle. The Dawn Redwood's beautiful, fern-like foliage develops in the spring, adding perfect green color to your landscape that thrives through the summer season. The majestic, fast-growing tree transitions in the fall to a gentle gold in homage to autumn.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Redwood in well-draining soil and in a spot that receives full sun. Place in a hole twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. There's no need to amend the soil, but do add a thick layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture.
2. Watering: Make sure your Dawn Redwood receives one inch of water each week, and more if you live in a dry, drought-prone area. Rain is usually enough to keep it hydrated, but you'll likely need to water once a week for the first couple of years.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.

Customer Reviews & Photos
- Fast Growing Trees
I ordered this tree as an anniversary present for my spouse. I'm a guy, so it was 2 days before the anniversary that I remembered. I ordered it and printed a photo because I figured it would be a few days late, but surprisingly, it arived in 2 days--on our anniversary! Saved the day! The tree was well pacakged, and healthy looking when it came out of its ample box. It is in the ground and thriving!
Love this beautiful tree! It arrived well packaged and appears to be very healthy. Planted it and it is a very special tree!
Great experience ! Tree was in beautiful shape
They arrived in good condition. You guys did a great job! I'm not sure they will all survive, though, since we had a heat wave in Reno just as they got here. I've been keeping them well watered and in the shade. I've planted one, the others should get planted this week. If anything exciting happens I will let you know. Dan Kappes
I was excited to get these trees to block some of the view from my neighbors. I didn't want to wait years for privacy so I purchased the larger trees at $350 each. I planted them in strategic locations and was ready to watch them block out more of the view each year. Well, I was surprised to find out that this type of tree loses its needle in the winter. I could barely see the tree at all. The needles came back in the spring, but so did all the leaves on the trees. Anyway, it's a nice looking tree in the summer but if you're looking for privacy, I don't recommend this tree
We are so sorry for the confusion about this tree! It is a deciduous tree and will drop its leaves in the Winter. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!
