Fast-Growing Tree, Even in Wet Soil

Why Dawn Redwood Trees?

Year-round interest, versatility, and easy growth (even in wet soil) are just a click away with the Dawn Redwood Tree. Not only does this tree deliver good looks almost anywhere, but it also couldn't be easier to plant and grow.

Unlike similar varieties, standing water is no problem for the Dawn Redwood. If you have low areas in your landscape that puddle after heavy rains, plant the Dawn. Most trees can't survive in this type of environment, but this tree loves it and soaks it all in to grow to amazing heights of up to 50 feet!

You'll get amazing foliage and color without any hassle. The Dawn Redwood's beautiful, fern-like foliage develops in the spring, adding perfect green color to your landscape that thrives through the summer season. The majestic, fast-growing tree transitions in the fall to a gentle gold in homage to autumn.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

Grows fast

Expensive but it has more than doubled in size in one year, very poor sandy soil (however longleaf and loblolly love the soil) seems like this pine will do well too. This picture is middle of summer but bigger now, bought at 5 ft tall and is over 10 ft tall now.

excited to see tree grow

Arrival: Boxes were WELL-packed, survived the trip with ease. Tree looked healthy, but branches are gnarly & broken, very lop-sided as well. But this is why you get a small/young tree to grow out of that. Planting tree was very easy. Day 1: Tree was very floppy and needed several supports. Top was snipped, so there are now several competing leaders that started as side branches. I'll wait to do any pruning until next year. First 3 months: I kept the stake in for 3 months, and then removed it. Tree was STILL very floppy, so it now has shoestring supports tied to cage. Many lower branches died off, and some browning throughout - BUT overall the tree seems happy and kept most of its leaves. It also grew several inches with plenty of fresh leaves. Month 4. 4: Tree still too floppy to remove supports. Otherwise happy-looking. Of my whole order, this was the tree I was looking forward to most. we'll see how it winters!
