Only White Azalea that Blooms Spring Summer and Fall
Presenting the Autumn Angel Azalea, guaranteed to provide a snowstorm of blooms... over and over from spring right through autumn.
One of the newest hybrids from the 'Encore' Azalea Collection... huge 3" wide blooms erupt in a blanket of crisp flowers. These blossoms are pure white and add brightness to any landscape.
Imagine snow white blooms against the deep evergreen foliage... the perfect compliment to your other plants. This is a shrub whose beauty is unequaled with so many successions of blooms to enjoy.
Plant in rows for a refreshing blast of spring that lasts up to 9 months... and will provide you with a source of scented cut flowers for your home. The blooms on Autumn Angel are just as pure and white as freshly fallen snow. What a plant, what a show!
If you like the Encore Azalea Autumn Angel selection, you might also like to add one or more of her high colored cousins to heighten the effect of a colossal kaleidoscope of color outside the windows of your home.
And you don't have to fertilize Encore Azaleas ... they do fine without any attention. However, if you want to see even more blooms, lightly fertilize.
Fast Growing Trees Nursery grows your Encore Azaleas larger than most nurseries. Typically, these Azaleas are a year older than ones you'll find elsewhere... but the benefits are obvious. The roots are well developed, and are ready to support rapid growth and heavy blooming when you plant them around your home.
Be sure to order your Azaleas soon... the new 'Encore' introduction was bigger than anyone anticipated, and we won't have our Autumn Angels for much longer.

Haven’t received them as of yet
Came in yesterday very full and healthy. Also had blooms on them and many buds. I am very happy to be back now that you stopped shipping bare root plants. Can't wait to see how they do.
Autumn Angel Encore Azalea
Smaller azalea. Should grow well. I planted in the shade where some morning sun comes. Beautiful in the pictures. I have many azalea's in this area of my yard.
I can not wait to see the white bloom!!! They look hardy!!
PRETTY RIGHT OUT OF THE CONTAINER
I'm going to plant some more of these right in front of the house. I planted 2 and they worked well. I am getting 4 more now. I can't wait until they get blooms again.
Planting & Care
A beautiful addition to any landscape, the Autumn angel encore azalea (Azalea x ’Robleg’) is a compact flowering shrub that is well suited for many climates. They’re commonly planted in USDA growing zones 6-10 so they can tolerate cold as well as heat. If you are in a warmer climate, make sure to give them some protection from hot afternoon sun but in a place where they still get 4-6 hours worth (they will also thrive in filtered light). Slowly growing to an overall size of 3 feet tall/wide and once acclimated to your environment, they can bloom from spring until fall with showy snow white flowers against a deep evergreen leaf.
Choosing a Location: Encore azaleas can thrive in full to partial sun. In cooler environments they can take up to 8 hours of direct light. In warmer climates they will need protection from the hot sun, but still need 6 hours of filtered light to bloom properly. Encore azaleas prefer an acidic, well draining, moist soil. They perform best with a soil pH of 5.5 to 6.5 and you can purchase a test kit at any garden center to verify the acidity of the soil. If your soil is not well draining you can amend it with compost or planting mix which will also help to lower the pH.
Planting directions (in ground): Encore azaleas are compact shrubs and need to be spaced about 2 feet to form a hedge, can be used as a centerpiece or a stand alone shrub.
1) Dig a hole three times as wide and just as deep as the container that the plant is in (the root ball).
2) Remove the plant from the container and loosen the roots with your fingers so that they spread out once planted.
3) Backfill the hole with a mixture of your native soil (60%) and compost or garden soil, you can include some coffee grounds while planting to help lower the pH if needed (always test the pH before adding anything to adjust).
4) Water lightly as you backfill to remove air pockets and water well when done but do not saturate the soil.
5) Mulch the area with 2-3 inches of mulch to help the plant conserve water and to protect the roots from fluctuating temperatures.
Planting directions (potted): Since these are compact shrubs, they can be kept in a large container as a patio plant. Move the plant gradually into a large container by repotting every year or so into a slightly larger container.
1) Use an acidic soil to fill the bottom of a container that is 1-2 sizes larger than the container that the plant initially arrived in.
2) Remove the plant from the original container and place it in the center of the new container.
3) Water the plant thoroughly until the water drains through the bottom, allow the soil to dry several inches down before watering again.
4) Place the plant in an area where it gets 4-6 hours of sun, protecting it from hot afternoon sun in warmer climates.
Watering (in ground): During the first year, your Autumn Angel will need ample water to get established. During the cooler times of year you will only need to water twice a week. Thoroughly water the area, making sure that the roots are not sitting in water, as that can lead to root rot. During the hotter times of the year they will need watered every other day, depending on the weather. Do not allow the roots to be saturated for extended periods of time. Allow the water to seep deeply into the soil to ensure that all of the roots receive water. Encore azaleas are not considered to be drought tolerant, so during times of drought or excessive heat you will need to water even established plants.
(In container): Water your plant thoroughly until water runs through the drainage holes. Allow the soil to dry to a depth of about 2-3 inches down before watering the plant again. Test the soil by sticking your finger in the soil to test for moisture. If the soil feels damp, wait another couple of days and recheck before watering.
Fertilizing: Azaleas need food in order to bloom for extended periods of time. Fertilize them with a slow release fertilizer intended for Azaleas. For best results, fertilize in the early spring but be sure to read and follow label instructions as the application will vary by manufacturer. Do not over fertilize as that can lead to unnecessary stress for the plant.
Pruning: Encore azaleas need very little pruning, if you need to prune the plant for shape do so immediately after the plant has finished its spring flowering. Pruning too late in the season will inhibit future blooms. Once plants are well established, a light annual pruning can be done to stimulate growth.
Pest and diseases: Encore azaleas are very hardy and relatively pest and disease free. Spider mites can sometimes be an issue for these plants, but are easily treated by hosing off the plant and spraying it with an insecticidal soap.
