Sunlight
Arkansas Black Apples thrive in full sun, so make sure you plant in a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.

Watering
Water regularly each week when the soil gets dry 2-3 inches down. Make sure to water more often if the tree is potted or there is a period of drought.

Fertilizing
Follow label instructions on an apple-specific fertilizer, usually applying several times from April until August.
The Baker's Favorite Apple
Why Arkansas Black Apple Trees?
Its unique, dark red-purple apples are filled with delicious tart and sweet flavors that are irresistible. Once you bite into a crisp Arkansas Black Apple you’ll know why it’s the baker’s favorite apple: Their sharp flavor has a sweet aftertaste with nodes of sugar and cinnamon.
And you’ll get a good number of apples each season – juicy, robust apples that emerge after only one year and can be stored for months. Best of all, your Black Arkansas Apples will be ready for harvest around November, just in time for cider season. Plus, planting, growing and harvesting your Arkansas Black Apples is easy - though you will need two different Apple varieties planted nearby (or one self-fertile variety like the Gala or Granny Smith), the entire process couldn't be simpler.

Going to make it I think
Arrived in good condition but I could not plant it for several days because of the severe weather we were having. The instructions said that if it was in a burlap bag to plant that bag and all. It already had lots of growth but most of it wilted. Seems to be coming back now. I checked for green cambium close to the top and it is fine.
Arkansas Black Apple
The tree shipped quickly and was well packaged. Everything went smoothly from ordering to getting it in the ground. Thank you.
Arkansas Black
This is the most beautifully shaped tree. It came, unharmed, ready to plant. We enjoy the dark colored bark, can’t wait to get some apples!
Healthy Trees
Ordered two trees along with two blueberry bushes. Everything arrived in great condition. The trees are actually larger than what I had ordered. And they were in 1 gallon fabric pots = free pot.
