Aromatic, beautiful and easy to take care of, the Tuscan Blue Rosemary is an easy choice.

Rosemary's are known for their alluring aroma and the Tuscan Blue is one of the most fragrant varieties. When you think of Rosemary, you probably think of the powerful and tantalizing scent of the needles. Imagine how relaxing it would be to step out into your garden each morning and breathe in the fresh fragrance.

The pretty blue flowers that bloom on this Rosemary give it its name. An abundance of small violet-blue to clear-blue flowers pop up on the Tuscan Blue Rosemary during the spring and summer. A favorite of butterflies, you will love the vitality this plant brings to your yard during the warmer months. Plant your Tuscan Blue alongside other bright flowering plants and watch in delight as your yard comes to life with fluttering activity.

Its height makes it extremely versatile. The tallest of the Rosemary's, the Tuscan Blue grows to a height of 6 ft'. Still small enough the manage, this Rosemary has the advantage of adding wonderful contrast against small flower plants or medium-size trees. A strong, sturdy plant, you'll find plenty of places in your garden where your Rosemary can add incredible value.

Providing yearlong interest, the Tuscan Blue Rosemary's needles never fade. Even in the dead of winter, you'll still get plenty of aroma and ornamental value. If you plant in a container, you can bring your Rosemary inside during the winter and fill your home with the familiar fragrance.

You'll find plenty of uses for your Rosemary. You won't need to prune your Tuscan Blue, but it responds well to whatever shaping you'd like to give it. With patience, you can even train your Rosemary as a bonsai. Whether you plant out in your garden to add fragrance and interest or you plant in a container and move it around your landscape, you'll find plenty of uses for your Rosemary.

A plant with this many advantages usually comes with a lot of work, but the Tuscan Blue Rosemary is an exception. No excessive pruning, watering, watching or fertilizing is necessary. Insects and deer aren't fond of the Rosemary, so you won't even need to worry about pests or diseases. This is one of the easiest plants to care for that gives you so much in return.

Called the "powerhouse" of Rosemary's this is an extremely popular variety. The Tuscan Blue Rosemary is the favorite amongst chefs for use as a seasoning and many home cooks love being able to liven up their meals with it. No herb garden is complete without a Rosemary bush and amateur gardeners love that they can bring some Mediterranean style to their yard without a lot of work. With so many uses, the Tuscan Blue doesn't stay in stock long, so be sure to order yours today.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Tuscan Rosemary

Tuscan Rosemary Planting Diretions

Planting Instructions: Plant your Tuscan Blue Rosemary is well-drained soil that receives at least 6-8 hours of full sun each day. If you live in a very hot region, you can give your Rosemary some afternoon shade. If you above Hardiness Zone 8, you'll need to plant your Rosemary in a container and bring it indoors by a sunny window before the first freeze. If planting in a container, use a potting soil that is designed to drain well. If planting more than one, space at least 24" apart.

Watering: Deeply water your Rosemary immediately after planting, so that the top 6" of soil become moist. You will only need to water your Tuscan Blue when the first 2" of soil are dry. The Tuscan Blue is a very durable plant, but over-watering is the main reason it fails.

Fertilization: For a more abundant bloom, you can fertilize your Tuscan Blue Rosemary with a 10-10-10 fertilizer each Spring. When applying fertilizer, only sprinkle under the canopy 6" away from the trunk. Water immediately after any fertilizer application.

Mulching: You can add 2" of mulch around your Rosemary each fall, but be sure to keep the mulch away from the trunk of the tree.  Mulching is typically only advantageous in zone 8 to protect the plant from occasional light frost in the winter.

Pruning: Pruning is not necessary, but you may prune your Tuscan Blue to maintain its desired shape. If you do prune your plant, do so right after it flowers in the Spring.
