Thuja trees are a hybrid cultivar and evergreen. They are popular trees for landscapers and gardeners because of their rapid growth and durability.

Fast Growing Trees Nursery offers two varieties: The Emerald Green Thuja and Thuja Green Giant.

The Thuja Green Giant is the most popular privacy tree because it is easy to maintain, hardy, and pest resistant. Recommended by landscapers, it is great for erecting a natural barrier. Use them as a border or line them up against a fence.

These trees are perfect alternatives to providing shade to other plants as well as shelter from winds. It does well in partial to direct sunlight, is drought resistant, and can be placed in different soil types.

As an evergreen, the Thuja Green Giant grows year round. It will not maintain its green leaves during winter. In the spring, summer, and fall, however, its leaves will be green! Bronzing will occur as the seasons change and the leaves will transition to a yellow or rust color during winter. From winter to spring, it will shed its old foliage and rejuvenate in the spring.

Emerald Green Thujas are also grown as ornamental trees. Its wood is light, aromatic, and resists decay. Considered one of the best, it is a very vigorous hedging plant. With deep green foliage, it adds color to gardens all year round. It even resists snow and ice damage!

Not only can you plant these trees in rows for privacy hedges, their pyramidal form looks ideal in large decorative pots right on your doorstep. Plant them along your garden border, or as an attractive anchor tree at the corners of your home.

These trees are very adaptable and versatile. The possibilities are endless!
