Don't Buy Bare-Root Trees (learn why below)

Up To Seven Months Of Bright, Tropical Blooms

Colorful, Multi-Seasonal Plant - Enjoy from Early Spring to Late Fall
Plumerias steal the show from April all the way into November with their clusters of large, spiral-shaped, 5 petal blossoms.  Their vibrant yellow, pink, white and red hues pop against lush, dark green leaves to transform your landscape into a tropical paradise.

Native to Tropical , but YOU CAN GROW YOUR OWN - In most zones
Plumerias or ‘lei flowers’ are typically recognized for their use in the beautiful leis made in Hawaii.  However, you don’t have to live in a tropical climate to grow Plumerias. If you live outside of growing zone 10, simply place yours in a container and bring it indoors during the colder months.

Multi-Purpose Beauty
So versatile, Plumerias do well as plants, shrubs and flowering trees.

Exotic Container Plants
Be prepared to answer the question:  "What IS that!!??"  Your guests will be amazed at the beauty of your Plumerias.  As container plants, Plumerias will brighten up your porch or patio. They make impressive entryway plants; and are lovely additions to any poolside. Plus, Plumeria blossoms have a sweet fragrance that will fill your favorite outdoor space with a rich floral scent.

Plant them as Borders or Hedges
When planted in the ground, Plumerias can be groomed to serve as foundation plantings or can be kept in shrub form to accent gardens.  They're so flexible, many of our customers treasure them as hedgerows or borders.

Stunning Tall Trees Can Serve as Lavish Privacy Screens
Plumerias can grow up to 40 feet tall and 20 feet wide, making them the perfect choice for a colorful privacy screen. Their thick foliage forms an impenetrable, solid living wall that enables you and your family to enjoy your time outside without neighboring onlookers.

Robust and Low Maintenance
Plumerias are surprisingly tough, considering their graceful appearance. They have a high level of drought and heat resistance as well as a high salt tolerance. They’re perfect for coastal regions and dry areas.

What Happens in the Winter?
When temperatures fall below 50° the Plumeria naturally drops its leaves.  This allows it to survive during the winter months without being watered. The leaves will return with vigor in the spring, as the vibrant blooms reemerge.

Beautiful tropical plant.
I have purchased this Plumeria tree because I wanted a touch of tropics in my Michigan backyard. Obviously due to the Michigan climate I have opted to make it a patio tree that I could bring inside when the weather turned cold.
My plumeria arrived slightly damaged. Few leaves was broken off and had some fungus on it's top. I have called Fast Growing Trees Customer service and they informed me that this might have happened during the shipment, when the plant is enclosed in a cardboard box in a hot weather. They also advised me what I should do to get rid of a fungus and to call them back if it will not help. Their fix turned out to be successful and my plant was back to full health within days.
It stayed beautiful all summer long, blooming multiple times with very delicate, wonderfully smelling flowers. Now in October, I brought it inside and within a week it started blooming again, with what seems like many more flowers to come.
It's a true winner.
Indoor, blooming in October, the color of the flowers is not as intense , but there is more flowers.

Summer blooms outdoors. The color of the flowers seems to be more intense from natural sunlight.

One of the main branches broke off in transit. All the rest of the leaves fell off. It is growing new ones, but they are way up at the top . No blooms. It is not pretty. I will prune it and root new plants. It will probably look ok next year . I was disappointed however

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Plumeria

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Plumeria.

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Planting & Care

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Plumeria gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Plumeria again after the transplant is complete.

I live in Seattle will this plant do well in a container if so how large of one?
EILEEN W on May 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can plant it in a container of your choice as long it is well-draining. Make sure it is bigger than the container we ship it in to allow for growth. You can leave it in the Nursery pot it is shipped in and once it outgrows that, you can re pot it.
At what age does it flower?
Lori T on Jun 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My Plumeria had flowers within a month of me receiving the plant which was 3' tall when I got it.
If I grow plumeria in a large pot and take it in for the cold seasonin Tennessee, would I be able to trim the top to get it in the house?
Dawn W on Jun 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can trim it.
Can Plumeria grow indoors?
Becca T on May 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can grow them indoors provided they get sufficient amount of sunlight.
My growing zone is 8, will this plant survive?

Thank you
Justin on Jun 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The outdoor growing zones are 10-11. Click the link to look up what growing zone you are in.
For zones 4-9 you would need to bring indoors in the winter.
