Why Virginian™ Arborvitaes?
An improved variety of the Thuja Green Giant, the Virginian™ offers a number of one-of-a-kind benefits that set it apart, starting with improved winter hues for year-round greenery (which are less susceptible to browning and yellowing). It's also adaptable, growing in a compact size that makes it the perfect choice as a privacy hedge or stand-alone showpiece.
Plant several Virginian™ Arborvitaes in a row to create manageable privacy, sound or windscreen. Its conical shape and deep green hues are reminiscent of a French garden, and whether you plant it solo or in a group, you'll love the look and quick, easy growth.
Even better? It's disease-resistant and involves virtually no upkeep. The Virginian™ Arborvitae is a tree you can plant and forget. From climates with temperamental winters to hot, humid summers and everywhere in-between, the Virginian™ Arborvitae is highly versatile. Plus, once it's established, you won't even have to bother with watering!
Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better
First, your Virginian™ Arborvitae grows faster and better, with gains of up to 5 feet each year. That means you’ll have a fully-formed tree quickly. But the best part is that you get amazing growth that's much healthier.
When you shop at your local nursery or big-box store, you might see Arborvitaes that are sparse and dying. But because we plant, grow and nurture our trees for months ahead of shipping, you get a better-developed tree, with an intact root system, delivered directly to your door.
If you love the look and shape of a Thuja Green Giant but want to avoid its larger size or winter yellowing, the Virginian™ Arborvitae is your tree of choice. Order yours today!

- Virginia Arborvitae
Waiting to see...
First of all, the young trees I received are bigger than expected and seem very healthy. They were shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. I'm waiting to see how they grow. I have some Green Giant Arborvitae that I planted 15 years ago and while they are beautiful, they are enormous! I want similar trees that grow as well but are not quite so overwhelming. I'm hoping that the Virginian Arborvitae will be so.
The trees arrived quickly and were healthy, the instructions were easy to get to and customer service was very helpful!
So far so good
We bought these to replace some Emerald Green Arborvitae that weren't doing so great (purchased elsewhere). So far the Virginian Arborvitae are doing well. I really hope they grow as fast as predicted as we would like to purchase some more!
Exceeded their Commitments again
Very pleased with the Virginia Arborvitae. Ordered ten on Sunday, they arrived on Tuesday and were planted on Saturday. After 5 weeks all are healthy and have grown a few inches.
Better than Expected
First of all I had to change my tree order because I realized I had overestimated. Sean in customer service was awesome... so helpful and nice! When my trees arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find out how wonderful they looked. I ordered the 3-4 ft but figured I would get more on the 3 ft size but they were definitely more on the 4 ft' size and they looked so green and healthy. I couldn't wait to get them planted. I ordered 12 for a living privacy fence across the back of my yard (my yard bumps up to the side of the neighbors house so not a very aesthetic look:). I have a small yard so I didn't want trees that get too large like the 'Green Giant' so these were a perfect option. I'm excited for them to grow solid to make a privacy but lovely screen. I was really nervous about ordering trees online but the trees I found at the local nursery didn't look too great and I couldn't find these particular ones anywhere so I decided to risk it and am so very glad I did! I did buy the one year warranty because you just never know but so far so good:) Thanks FastGrowingTrees.com!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Virginian™ Arborvitae in well-draining soil and in a spot that receives full sun with a bit of shade (around 6 hours of direct sunlight daily). Place in a hole twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. There's no need to amend the soil, but you can add a thick layer of mulch around the base of the tree for weed prevention.
2. Watering: Make sure your Virginian™ Arborvitae receives water weekly while it is establishing. Rain is usually enough to keep it hydrated, but you'll need to water it if you experience a period of drought.
After it's established, there's no need to water your tree.
3. Pruning: There is no pruning, fertilizing or disease management needed for the Virginian™ Arborvitae. You can prune as desired for creating a hedge, but it is not necessary.
