1. Planting: Choose a planting site that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight daily. Ensure the soil is well-draining and rich in organic material. Dig a hole that is twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. Place the rose in the center, backfill with soil, and gently firm it around the roots to eliminate air pockets.

2. Watering: Water your Desdemona™ Rose Shrub regularly during the first growing season to establish a healthy root system. Once established, it is generally drought-tolerant but will benefit from consistent watering during dry spells. Aim to water early in the morning at the base of the plant to keep foliage dry and reduce the risk of disease.

3. Pruning: Prune your rose in late winter or early spring, just as new growth begins. Start by removing any dead or damaged wood, and then shape the shrub by cutting back about one-third of the previous year's growth. This encourages stronger blooms and promotes air circulation.

4. Fertilizing: Feed your Desdemona™ Rose Shrub with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth appears. A second application can be made in midsummer to support ongoing health and blooming. Avoid fertilizing late in the season to prevent new growth that could be damaged in colder months.
