1. Planting: Choose a location that receives at least six hours of sunlight per day. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and amend the soil with compost to ensure excellent drainage. Position the rose bush with the graft union slightly above ground level and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil.

2. Watering: Water your Claire Austin® Rose regularly, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not soggy. Deep watering is recommended, particularly in dry spells, to encourage deep root growth. A drip irrigation system can help maintain moisture levels effectively without wetting the foliage.

3. Pruning: Prune your rose bush in early spring as new growth begins. Remove any dead or damaged wood, and thin out crowded canes to improve air circulation. Aim for an open center to allow sunlight to penetrate, promoting healthy blooms throughout the season.

4. Fertilizing: Use a balanced rose fertilizer in early spring when new growth appears and again in mid-summer. Follow the recommended application rates on the fertilizer package, ensuring you do not over-fertilize, which can lead to vigorous foliage growth at the expense of blooms.
