Citrus Starter Kit

I appreciate the pre packaged kit along with the precise instructions. I bought the care kit to use with my Valencia Orange Tree. I repotted my tree into a pot so that I can bring it in for the winter for a couple of years. I have never grown any kind of a fruit tree in the past. I choose the Valencia Orange because several years ago I was in Florida and bought some Valencia Oranges from the grocery store. They were fabulous! I was living in Alaska at the time and had no way of trying to grow an orange tree. Now I am living in Texas on seven acres and have plenty of room and sunshine to grow what ever I care to try. I like the fact that this “care kit” takes all of the guess work out for a novice like me.

TREE ARRIVED FAST AND IN GOOD SHAPE. THIS WAS SURPRISING DUE TO THE FACT THE COMPANY THAT DELIVERED IT SEEMED TO JUST THROW IT OUT OF THE TRUCK WHICH SPLIT THE BOX OPEN (NOT FGT FAULT). I AM GROWING INDOORS UNDER A GROW LIGHT AND DID EXPERIENCE SOME LEAF DROP HOWEVER AFTER REMOVING ABOUT 25 SMALL LEMONS AND LETTING THE PLANT ADJUST ITS DOING FINE AFTER JUST A COUPLE WEEKS. CITRUS ARE NOTORIOUS LEAF DROPPERS AND MEYER LEMONS ARE NOTORIOUS FRUIT PRODUCERS. IT MAY HURT A LITTLE BUT REMOVING SOME OF THE FRUIT WHEN YOU FIRST GET THE PLANT WILL PAY OFF IN THE END. I LEFT ONLY TWO LEMONS ON MY TREE AND LIKE I SAID AFTER IT ADJUSTED TO ITS NEW LOCATION IT IS NOW SETTING NEW GROWTH AND THERE ARE WHAT APPEARS TO BE NEW FLOWER BUDS.
