Incredible blooms on the world's best houseplant

Peace Lilies or ‘Peace Plants’ are excellent choices for the home or office because they are low maintenance evergreens that actually prefer to grow in the shade. They will thrive in areas with low, indirect light.

This indoor plant is extremely versatile and can fit anywhere. They can be kept in smaller pots to sit on any tabletop or desk. In larger containers they will grow up to six feet tall to be the perfect accent piece for corners, and on decks or patios.

Your family and coworkers will love to marvel at your Peace Lily with its vibrant tropical beauty. Its green leaves are wide, lush and glossy to provide an exotic look and in the spring large, white single petal flowers emerge with a vibrant yellow stamen.

The dark leaves serve as a back drop for the vivid white and yellow hues to pop against, causing the long lasting blooms to stand out and fill any space with bright color.

The Peace Lily is an amazing gift to send to your friends and relatives for any occasion to let them know you were thinking about them. They’ll receive a beautiful low maintenance, indoor plant that doesn’t require a lot of up keep.

This houseplant will be just fine if left to hang out on its own. With a little light and a little water it will flourish. Don’t worry if you forget to water your Peace Lily, because they’re extremely forgiving. Unlike other more sensitive plants this lily will flourish, even when neglected.

Peace Lilies are always great to have around because their large leaves filter toxins and staleness out of the air, giving you fresh clean air to enjoy with their year around beauty.

Maybe beautiful but not easy to grow
Peace lily may be beautiful however it's not and easy plant to grow. I was given one as a gift and after having it for 20 days that's exactly how many leaves I lost. My peace lily is about 4ft. Wide and 3 ft. Tall I know my friend brought it thinking I could grow it because I grow so many plants outside and around my house any think. You have to have a big room for this sized plant. Temp stays between 50 to 80 degrees. No drafts. Fans out. Low light. Leave a grow bulb on it all night long still loose a leaf a day . My friend spent $145.00 for this plant but I wouldn't give you $10.00 for it.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Peace Lily

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Peace Lily .

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Planting & Care

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Peace Lily gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Peace Lily again after the transplant is complete.

how to get blossoms to bloom?
Denise M on May 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They can be sensitive to some minerals and chemicals found in tap water, using distilled water is best. Feeding your plant a balanced houseplant fertilizer every 2 to 3 months. keep the plant in a low light area out of direct sun. Sometimes just placing in a new spot will help it bloom.
Can plant be left in the ground over the winter ?
Kathleen B on Jul 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Peace lilies cannot survive freezing temperatures. I keep mine in large pots that
I can cover when the temperature is in the mid 30's.
