1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. When selecting a location, choose a spot that receives full sun for the best flowering results. Ensure that the soil is well-draining to prevent root rot. Dig a hole that is twice the width of the root ball and just as deep to allow the roots to spread comfortably.

2. Watering: After planting, water thoroughly and keep the soil consistently moist until the plant is established. Once established, the Coreopsis is drought-resistant, requiring less frequent watering, typically once a week during dry spells.

3. Pruning: To encourage continuous blooming, deadhead spent flowers regularly. In late fall, after the blooms have faded, cut back the plant to about 6 inches. This will promote new growth in the spring.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize sparingly using a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring. Too much fertilizer can lead to lush foliage but fewer blooms, so moderation is key.
