Sunlight

Absolutely gorgeous!
Received the tree and I can't believe they can ship a tree of this quality right to my door. Hopefully it produces as good as it looks. Now if I can just keep the deer off of it it'll be ok.
Tough tree
Planted it in bighorn basin Wyoming 4300 ft zone 4. Did this around midsummer and it got immediately subjected to days of blasting hot wind. It survived. I didn't properly prepare the hole and later the tree slumped a couple inches down into the hole and shocked the root system. It survived that. Now we'll see how it manages through a winner where -20 is common. Also got a honeycrisp to cross pollinate and it is doing well.
