Product Description

Attractive Corkscrew Foliage & Golden Winter Bark

Why Golden Curls Corkscrew Willows?
Known for its attractive foliage and golden bark during wintertime, the Golden Curls Corkscrew Willow lives up to its name. And this eye-catching shade tree is made even better by its cold hardy growth, down to -30 degrees, and elegant upright growth habit.

So, the Golden Curls combines the best of both worlds. You’ll get stunning looks and the benefit of low-maintenance, hassle-free care, especially since this Willow thrives in a number of different soil types. That means instant shade and a one-of-a-kind look in nearly any space.

Why is Better
But the best part about the Golden Curls Corkscrew Willow is the fact that it’s planted, grown, monitored and shipped with care, straight from our nursery. We do the extra work so that you reap the rewards by the time your tree arrives to your door.

As a result, your Golden Curls is happy, healthy and prepared to thrive in your landscape. It’s a proven performer since we’ve already grown it. Don’t wait – order your Golden Curls Corkscrew Willow today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Before planting, choose a location with full sun to partial shade (4 to 8 hours of sun per day) and well-drained soil. The Corkscrew Willow is highly adaptable, drought resistant and easy-to-grow in most soil types. When it’s time to plant, start by digging a hole that’s at least twice the width of your tree’s root ball. After placing your tree in its hole, back fill the soil, tamp down to ensure air pockets are eliminated, and water to establish the root system.

2. Watering: Water your new Willow regularly and deeply during its first growing season to help establishment, approximately once weekly. If you’re not sure when to water and how much watering your tree needs, simply check the soil. If the soil is dry down to around 2 or 3 inches, it’s time to water.

3. Fertilizing: If you want to bolster your Willow’s growth, apply slow-release, well-balanced fertilizer before new growth begins in the spring.

4. Pruning: Pruning isn’t required, but if you’d like to shape your Golden Curls’ weeping habit, simply do so a few times a year, or however often is necessary to shape.

Healthy and great size

I love corkscrew willows, and this one did not disappoint! It is already thriving after a fall planting. I look forward to its unusual color as it grows. Two years ago I purchased a different variety of corkscrew willow, and it is already a nicely sized tree!
