Repel Mosquitos and Other Pests Naturally

The amazing scent of the Lemon Eucalyptus will naturally fill your home or landscape, giving it a fresh and clean aroma. Your family and guests will be constantly complementing the all-natural lemon scent around your home.

While these Eucalyptus trees invite guests in, they will send pests packing. The citronella oil in the leaves will naturally repel mosquitoes, fleas and ticks. Place a few crushed leaves around your home to keep bugs at bay.

Before going outside in the evening crush a few leaves in your hands to extract the oil and relax as bugs avoid you instead of biting. This tree is perfect for backyards where barbecues and family reunions are often held because it will repel bugs away from your guests.

The Lemon Eucalyptus Tree is an extremely versatile evergreen tree. You can use it as a large shade tree if planted outdoors because it quickly reaches heights of 40 to 50 tall.

However, if kept in a container this tree will stay small and even flourish indoors. If you live outside of its recommended growing zones simply place your tree in a container and place it near a large sunny window inside.

Whether the Lemon Eucalyptus is inside or out its beauty will capture the attention of onlookers with its lush green leaves and smooth grey trunk. It's the ideal patio or poolside tree with both its function as a pest repellant and striking beauty.

This low maintenance eucalyptus variety easily survives in a variety of different conditions, like poor soil or droughts. Simply plant it and watch it thrive. This container tree doesn't need any babying.

We can't keep the Lemon Eucalyptus Tree in stock, it sells out fast. Order yours today before they are all gone.

Delivery was on time and as expected. Plant was taller than I expected and much slimmer and fewer leaves. I have had it planted for about 3 weeks now and beginning to see new growth. The plant smells beautiful, just as citronella.

Lemon Eucalyptus Tree
The top of my tree was broken when it arrived and I was afraid it might be too damaged. When I asked about it, I was advised not to cut the broken part off, which made me even more concerned as that part was soon completely dead. However they assured me it just needed time. I went ahead and cut the dead part off anyway, planted the tree in the ground, and it is thriving with new growth. I've included a picture It's doing GREAT and I couldn't be happier!

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Lemon Eucalyptus Tree

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Lemon Eucalyptus Tree.

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Planting & Care

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Lemon Eucalyptus Tree gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Lemon Eucalyptus Tree again after the transplant is complete.

if it is placed in a container, how big will it get?
i k on Oct 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It depends on the size of the container, If you have it in a container and it doesn't grow any more I would consider repotting it or putting it in the ground.
Will it grow taller if you move it from a container to the yard?
John J on Apr 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. It grows a lot faster in the ground.
Does patio mean I can't plant a tree in the ground if I live in zone 8?
Steve J on Jun 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I planted and it grows much faster
