Colorful, Vibrant Foliage for Indoors

The Cordyline, also known as the Ti Plant, is famous in Hawaii for its ability to bring good luck. But whether you live in paradise or coldest state in the country, you can enjoy this decorative, low-maintenance, and long-living tropical beauty.

Brighten any sun-filled space inside your home with the Cordyline, curated to grow 6 feet in height. Planted outdoors in growing zones 8 through 11, the Cordyline can be groomed as a tree or shrub reaching up to 10 feet tall.

Basically, you'll get all the beauty without a lot of hassle. Although this vibrantly-hued plant thrives in warm and humid environments, it’s very adaptable, which makes it well-suited for the indoors. Its daring 1-foot long mahogany leaves and hidden hues of hot pink, green, and cream within every leaf make it even more eye-catching.

And tropical climes gift blush pink blooms from spring to fall. If you live in a warmer climate, like Hawaii, South Florida or Southern areas of the West Coast, you’ll get an added bonus of fragrant flowers each year if your Ti Plant is outdoors.

Small, pale pink flowers accompany the rich, multicolor leaves for an impressive warm-weather display. Even better? The sturdy, evergreen and glossy leaves are met by star-shaped delicate petals for a dazzling show.

We’ve groomed this plant to perfection, so it’s ready to be a long-standing addition to your home or garden. Order your very own Cordyline today!

Seems to be dying. I hope it doesn't. Looks as though it wants to dig its own grave. Poor thing...

Certainly as perky as it was two weeks ago.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Cordyline - Florica Plant

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Cordyline - Florica Plant.

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Cordyline - Florica Plant gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Cordyline - Florica Plant again after the transplant is complete.

It looks like it would make a beautiful house plant and the description behind the plant seemed to suit the occasion for a gift to someone who has recently lost a loved one. It will bring her many years of joy. The colors are very unique versus the normal “green” house plant and I am so sure she will love it.
