Add a feel and taste of the Tropics to your home with the Glenn Mango Tree from the Fast Growing Trees Nursery. This small tree is perfect for containers. It produces a compact, round canopy and is disease resistant.

Although the tree grows between 2 and 3 feet each year, and can reach mature height of up to 30 feet, in a container it will grow more slowly, and can be easily maintained at a manageable height of around 8 to 15 feet by regular pruning.

This exotic tree has vibrant green leaves and an aromatic scent that will enhance any warm outdoor or indoor space. It adapts to most soil types and thrives in full to partial sunlight. It will be comfortable outdoors in temperatures above 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

Within 3 to 4 years from planting, the Glenn Mango will begin producing regular crops of medium to large fruit. The delicious mangos are oval with a rounded base, and will develop an orange-red color as they ripen in the sun.

Beneath their tough skin lies a sweet, rich flesh that is great for adding to deserts, salads, or savory chutneys. Your mangos will be ready for harvesting in late June to July.

The fruit pulp is high in fiber, Vitamin A and C. It also contains antioxidants and essential nutrients such as potassium, copper, and amino acids. Omega-3 and Omega-6 are fatty acids that are good for you and found in mangoes as well.

Mangoes are widely used in cuisine. Sour, unripe mangoes are used in chutneys, pickles or side dishes. They can be eaten raw with salt, chili or soy sauce.

They are used in smoothies, curries, and jams. Mangoes are sliced and used in yogurts, oatmeal, and mueslis.

Pieces of mango can be mashed and used as a topping on ice cream. Sweet glutinous rice is flavored with coconut, then served with sliced mango as a dessert.

There are countless ways to enjoy mangoes so get your tree today and start experimenting!
