Peel me an orange.
The trees arrived healthy, were packed well, have experienced no transplant shock and appear to be thriving! I'm in S. Central TX and our soil is mostly clay. I dug holes about twice as wide and 1.5x as deep as the pot they were shipped in, used generous amounts of potting soil from MG, and backfilled the top 4 inches of the holes with native clay for stability (it's windy down here). I also threw a banana peel (potassium) and an eggshell (calcium) in the hole before sinking the tree. Again, they seem to be quite happy and now it's time for nature and nurture to do their magic.
