The benefits of the Drop ‘N Grow™ bag…

By growing these trees in burlap bags, the roots grow into the cloth, rather than circling around a pot. This forces these trees to put out thousands of fine hair roots. These roots bring moisture and nutrients into the plants. This means you get a tree that will become established quicker and provide you with superior and faster growth.

These will be the easiest trees you have ever planted! Simply dig your hole, place the Drop 'N Grow™ bag in the center (burlap included) then use excess dirt to fill the hole. That's it!

The Most Cold Hardy and Frost Tolerant Peach Variety Available

The Frost Proof Peach grows in northern regions where other peach varieties can’t handle the ice, snow, and freezing conditions. While most fruit trees can be injured by a late frost, the Frost Proof Peach will remain unharmed and still produce a large harvest.

Along with being cold hardy the Frost Proof Peach is an extremely pest and disease resistant variety. They fight off common peach tree diseases like leaf curl and blight with ease.

With this peach variety you’ll have vibrant pink blossoms in the spring that fill the landscape with color. Best of all you will be able to enjoy them worry free, because they will tolerate a late season frost. If your temperatures drop below freezing you won’t have to rush out to cover your tree to protect the blooms, they will be fine on their own.

Then in the summer there will be tons of delicious Frost Proof Peaches that will be ready to harvest when their golden skin develops a red blush. These peaches are famous for their incredible sweet flavor and juicy flesh. They are the perfect rejuvenating snack during a warm summer day.

Their rich tang makes them an incredibly popular peach for making ice cream or pies and cobblers. In fact, their sweetness is so strong that you can brew sugar free tea with them for a healthy and refreshing drink.

Frost Proof Peaches are carefree, abundant producers. Their drought tolerant nature and high level of heat resistance allows them to pump out tons of peaches even when neglected.

Great Customer Service
I bought 2 frost proof peach trees (among other trees). All of them arrived well.

2 went into shock, but recovered (not the peach trees).

The peach trees were dormant on arrival. One never "woke" in spring and was promptly replaced by Fast Growing Trees.

I recommend buying the warranty... basically there were no questions asked. They just wanted to know if I wanted a refund or a new tree.

Will keep buying from this website. The trees I bought last year are doing better than the ones bought at the local nursery.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Frost Proof Peach

Frost Proof Peach Planting Diretions

The Frost Proof peach tree (Prunus Persica Frost) are among the most cold hardy and frost tolerant peach variety available. They will tolerate late frosts, temperatures down to negative 10 degrees and require a minimum of 700 chill hours for fruit to properly set. You’ll get vibrant pink blossoms in the spring season that will fill your landscape with color. This variety performs their best in USDA growing zone 5-9 and are self pollinating which make them great for smaller yards not capable of housing two trees. Frost proof peach trees are full sun loving, fast growers, maturing to a height of 15-25 feet tall and 15-25 in width.

Location: Plant your Frost Proof peach tree in well-drained soil in a location where it will receive full sun (at least 6-8 hours of sunlight a day). Heavy winds and early frosts can damage the blossoms, so be sure to protect your tree by planting on the sunniest side of a building or your home.

Planting Instructions: Select an area where your soil drains well and the Frost Proof Peach Tree will receive at least 6-8 hours of sunlight a day.

1) Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Amend the soil around the hole with compost to ensure the tree has proper drainage.
2) Place your tree inside the hole making sure it is sitting straight and that the graft is 2 inches above the soil line.
3) Cover the roots with soil, watering occasionally as you go along to remove any air pockets that may have formed. Gently pat the soil down until the roots are completely covered.

Watering: Keep the soil around your peach moist, but not saturated. Keeping the roots too wet can cause rot damage to the roots. Typically watering once a week by leaving a hose at the base of the tree for a couple of hours is sufficient. Once the soil around the tree has dried, water the tree again. During times of extreme heat, your tree may need additional water. Yellowing of the leaves is a sign of over watering while leaves that are dry and brown can be a sign of under watering.

Fertilization: After your tree has been in the ground for 6 weeks, apply 1 lb. of a balanced fertilizer formula such as 12-12-12. In addition, apply ¾ lb. of fertilizer in the Spring before the tree pushes out new growth. Repeat this in the Summer and Fall as well.

Pruning: Your peach tree will need to be pruned the first two years in order to maintain an open center shape and encourage fruit production. Prune your tree in late winter or early spring using pruning shears and making your cuts at a 45-degree angle. Trim away any broken/dead branches and any that are criss-crossing by making your cut right below the dead wood. To achieve the open center shape, prune your tree so that the center section has only two or three main branches that will receive plenty of sunlight.

Pests: Check your tree regularly for insects and diseases. Caterpillars can form nests (egg sacs) on the tree which should be picked off immediately and spray your tree with a horticultural oil or an insecticide. Fungus can be treated by spraying a fungicide on the tree while it’s blooming.

Tips: Once your tree begins to fruit, thin your peaches out to allow each peach to have 8 inches in space to grow and mature properly. Thinning out your peaches will help to increase your overall production. Peaches on the top and outside of the tree will likely be ready to pick first. They will be fully ripe when there is no green left on the skin and they come off with a slight twist.

DO I need more than one tree for it to bear fruit?
Maryann S on Mar 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is self fertile, however, if you have two they will be more prolific.
When is the best time to plant a peach tree in "weather crazy" NC?
Elisabeth E on Feb 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They can be planted all year, as long as the ground isn’t frozen. If you plant your tree during the summer, especially during a heat wave of drought then give your tree extra water. The best time to plant is in the fall, six weeks before the first frost so your tree can get rooted into the ground before winter, or in the spring six weeks after the final frost, giving it time to become established before summer heat sets in. Keep in mind that planting during the summer still gives your tree enough time to get rooted in before the winter.
When it's ready for pick?
Nurlan S on Mar 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are normally ready to harvest in August.
