Red Dwarf Buckeye Trees
I recently purchased three Dwarf Buckeyes. I purchased 2 of the 5-6 ft trees and 1 of the 3-4 ft tall tree. What I didn’t realize is when you buy the larger trees, the lower branches are cut off so I think these trees are intended to grow into a much taller tree. If you’re looking to use the tree more as smaller shrub then order the smaller tree and leave the lower branches. When they arrived they appeared to be a little wilted and had some broken branches but otherwise in good shape. I got them planted the same day. We’ve have a couple of days of cold weather since I planted them but they seem to be hanging in there. Hopefully they bounce back. Of note, as a complimentary gift I was also supposed to receive a “Free” Kousa Dogwood tree but it was not included and has not arrived. I also ordered “Root Rocket” fertilizer with my order but this was not included either. I followed up with an email to the company but no one has responded. I would’ve given 5 Stars except for the above mentioned omissions. Hopefully the trees will do okay.
