I have purchased lots of plants, bushes, and trees over the years and can write without qualification that ALL the items I have purchased from your firm have been healthier, bigger, and more resilient than the same or similar products purchased from others. Even better you arent expensive! These plants are awesome and stand about 3 1/2 feet high and are bursting to leaf out as soon as I transplanted them outside ,I live in the frozen tundra Upstate New York,. I recommend Fast Growing Trees Nursery to all. If they have what you are looking for, dont gamble- place your order with them.

My neighbors and I are extremely happy with the trees we purchased this Spring. I have 17 in my yard, and every one has grown over a foot since planting in our unpredictable Nebraska weather. Both my neighborss trees are doing equally well. We are all thrilled!
By: Greg in Richmond, VA
Ordered 26 thuja green giants 11 months ago. They were 3-4 feet tall when they arrived. All of them were very healthy. Today, some of the thujas are over 7 feet and the growing season is not over yet! I am waiting for next year and hoping that they would really take off and reach as high as 9-10 feet. I do water them mildly twice a week.
By: Nick in Newburgh, NJ
I purchased 9 thuja trees. After 9 months, only two died, but one is not doing well. The others are doing absolutely fantastic! All trees were planted in the same vicinity of the yard so soil, sun and wind conditions are the same. Overall, Im very happy with the outcome.

I am an experienced gardener but have not dealt much with trees so I might have stretched a bit with taking on putting in a large hedge. However, I was desperate to get a privacy screen at the back corner of my property. I purchased seven of the 5 ft. green giants and planted them in large tree planters. I was extremely pleased with the trees when they arrived. They were all as tall or taller than promised and in very nice condition. I planted in late spring which is tough on a plant in Texas since the big heat comes early, but all survived and thrived through the hot summer. I lost one the next year and could not figure out why, but the remaining six are now about 9 feet tall after only 20 months and they have done well through two hot summers, a mild winter, and now a tough winter. ,Gotta love any plant that can handle both 106 degrees and 18 degrees., We had a horrible outbreak of web worms in the spring, but they didnt touch the Green Giants and I have not used any pesticide on the trees at all. Looks like Im going to get the quick and beautiful privacy hedge I wanted.
By: John in Southern Kentucky
We received our Giant Thuja Trees last Thursday, we planted them on Saturday...they look beautiful...I was surprised how well they were packaged, and what great shape they were in when we got them.
By: LaTasha in Virginia
I purchased 32 thuja green giants ,4-6 ft,, last summer. They have endured extreme heat, and almost 4ft of snow this winter, in that big snowstorm that we named
By: Chris in Bonney Lake, WA
Waited until our second year to do our review - Thujas planted in 2008 growing super and fast. Lots of new growth - all bright green. Only one out of 25 died but that was our fault, not the tree or nursery. Never had trees delivered in such good packaging as from this nursery! Bought more smaller Thujas from a different nursery this year - trying to save some $$ - bad mistake - 15% died - will reorder in 2010 from here !!
By: Susan in Hickory, NY
Outstanding quality, packaging and customer service from Fast Growing Trees Nursery. We use our Thujas as a living privacy fence to block the neighbor. To save some $$ we bought other Thujas from a different source in 2009. What a huge mistake. We will for sure RE-ORDER from Fast Growing Trees this year 2010!!
By: Stephen in Memphis, TN
As a novice gardener, I needed immediate privacy for a new pool. These trees are growing rapidly during their first season. I cant wait to see the growth they have this year! All seven are healthy and Ive done nothing more than stick them in the ground. I will be buying more of these this year.
By: Tom in Hagerstown, MD
I placed these evergreens as a living barrier on my property line. They have tripled in size and require very little maintenance. To say I am very happy with my purchase is an understatement. I would not hesitate in purchasing additional trees if the need should arise. Thanks!
By: Melinda
We love our Thujas! They are beautiful! It is a joy to watch them grow. I cant wait to see how tall they are in another year. They started off at 12 inches Spring 07 and are now as tall as me - 55
By: Meaghan in Averill Park, NY
We ordered and planted our ten Thuja Green Giant Arborvitaes in May 2007. At the time they were just saplings. As of this past fall ,2009, almost every tree was over six feet tall. Some have grown faster than others, but are consistent overall. We live in upstate NY in a rural mountain town. These trees have fought off deer, insects, direct sun in the summers, ice and sub zero temperatures in the winters. We would recommend these trees to anyone. We are honestly amazed at how fast they have grown, and are looking forward to seeing how much they grow this year.
By: Michelle in Colorado Springs, CO
Were in Colorado Springs. We ordered the 6 ft. Thuja trees, last year in March. It was still cold and snowing here so we opened them and put them in the garage. We watered them, but otherwise pretty much neglected them altogether for almost 3 weeks. Then we planted them and it snowed again the next day. They are all ,about 35 total, doing great!!! Theyve grown over 16 inches and we cant wait for them to grow up and provide beautiful screening for our backyard. Easiest tree to maintain that Ive ever planted.
By: Sue & John in Brooklyn, CT
I planted 35 in the spring of 2007. I fertilize twice a year and planted in loam mixed with manure. I watered regularly, mulched and pruned. Our Thuja are all over 12 ft. We topped them all last year to make them get wider instead of taller. It worked! They are great!
By: Merrily in St. Charles, IL
We use our Thuja as a wind blocker and privacy fence. Looks green all year round and are full and lush. Now almost 5 feet tall.
By: John in Medford, NJ
Using for privacy and I think in another year it will be high enough. Very healthy trees and well packaged. I may buy more in the spring.
By: Maggie in Tyrone, GA
These evergreen trees will be used for a hedge. Four of them are growing well and look healthy. The neighbors like them, too! But one of them seems to be slowly dying. We just checked the roots a couple of weeks ago and the tree hasnt taken root very well.
By: Susan in NJ
I used my thuja green giants in each back corner of the yard. They have almost doubled in size and look quite nice. I am sure this summer they will really take off. I am very happy with them. Best Regards, Susan
By: Joe in Rochester, NY
I ordered my thuja giants about 4 yrs ago and had really great success so last year i re-ordered 5 more for the other side of my home. All are doing great!!
By: Bill in Cherry Hill, NJ
We used the evergreen trees as a privacy hedge alongside our home. Theyve grown beautifully alongside our home.
By: Steve in Valparaiso, FLO
The packing of the plants were excellent, All arrived in great condition. I will buy from yall again!!
By: Louis
I put it in the front of my house. I love the look and smell of the evergreen foliage. I cant find anything bad about it.
By: Kurt
I planted this tree on the western slope of my yard 2 years ago trees to block some of the sun during the summer and wind during the winter. I live west of Fort Worth, Texas where the soil consist of alkaline clay and rock. The tree grows as advertised, currently about 10 ft tall. It looks great all year around. I have bought some other green giants from a local store and I question if they really are Green Giants. Their stature, growth rate and appearance dont even compare to the one I bought from Fast Growing trees.
By: JB in CT
We are using our thuja trees as a friendly fence. We bought 12 small evergreen trees which have doubled in size since we purchased them a year ago. We did have 2 die which were replaced very quickly and without a hassle.
By: Eydie in Bloomington, MN
Truly fast growing! I had ordered 15 Thujas and all but three survived the transplant process. I have nine lining the back of my property and three as a buffer on the side of my house. All of them are growing beautifully!! Especially the three on the side as they are getting the most sunlight. They are nearly seven feet tall after two seasons! These are a great buy for anyone looking for a natural barrier from neighbors or the elements! =D
By: Lee in Charlotte, NC
Received our order of 12 within a few days of ordering and the packaging was great. Plants look really healthy. We ordered the 1-2 ft. size and just finished planting them on the upper part of our berm that takes in six backyards. If it hadnt been for all the rain weve had this past month, I would have waited until fall to order.
By: Sweed in Grand Junction, CO
I live in the high desert with temp 100+ in the summer. I water the heck out of my Thujas and the one in the low spot with the most water is by far the biggest. I planted 29 in a row, approx 4ft apart and 12 inches from a 6ft privacy fence. All 29 are 5-6ft tall now and are beginning to touch each other. I use fertilizer stakes evenly between each tree and theyre doing great. Great trees!!
By: Michael
I planted 12 thuja giants for a border between my property and the neighbors. They have at least doubled in size in the last year. I am anxiously awaiting their continued growth. I wish they were able to be purchased at a bigger size, so I could see them grow quicker. Id recommend that people purchase them. Id love to outline the rest of my property in them. Its 209 square feet. Thanks!!!
By: Donna
I would estimate they have grown about 2 1/2 feet since last June. I really need privacy! I water them at least once a week, and fertilize once a month. Now we are going into winter.
By: Mary in Cooksville, MD
All in all, I was happy with the plants I received. My thujas were healthy and for a beginning gardener, the planting instructions were easy to understand. I have had them in for 3 full years now and they range in height from 3 - 5 feet, not quite as fast growing as I had hoped.
By: Isabel in Augusta, GA
We ordered 26 Thuja Green Giant 6-7 feet tall everyone one of them arrived GORGEOUS in perfect condition we are so happy with the purchase and cant wait to see them grow...Thank you Fast Growing Trees Nursery we love or trees...
By: Doug in Woodbine, MD
I have planted 27 of these over two years at two different times. They are all alive and doing well. The ones the catch most of the sun have outgrown the ones I planted the year prior by over a foot. Dont water them too much and watch them grow. I would order them in the early season so you get the most mature you can get for your money. I do believe these are more mature and thus will grow faster.
By: Carol in Springfield, OH
I am pleased with the trees, they arrive looking very strong and have taken off when planted. I will be purchasing from your company again.
By: Keith in San Leandro, CA
After an extensive addition/remodel we planted a row of Thuja Green Giant evergreens that replaced a century-old oak tree that had to be removed. Over night we lost our privacy, but the Thuja Giants are now a year old, have already grown about 3 - 4 feet in height and thickened up. In a few short years well have our privacy back without the foundation damaging roots from the prior oak tree. They are healthy and growing like weeds!
By: Tina
These trees are great - very easy to take care of - watered once a week - I live were a lot of sagebrush grows and heavy soil - I cant say enough great things about these trees.
By: Ted
I purchased 12 of the smallest sized Thuja Giant trees to plant as a privacy buffer. I was worried whether they would truly be deer resistant due to the problem we have with deer eating other plants & bushes which were on the deer risistant lists. Fortunately, my Thujas have not been eaten by the deer! They are GREAT with 4 foot growth in less than 1-1/2 years. Im hoping the second year of growth will yield even better results.
By: Mike
I bought the Thuja Green Giants to create a barrier along my property line. They are fast growing and stay green all year long. Most important, they are deer resistant!!! I have lots of deer and I certainly didnt want them eating away at them like they do on regular evergreen trees.
By: Brad
I really like the trees. We planted a year ago, but the real growth started about 3-4 months ago.
By: Elizabeth
The trees are in a row at the end of our side yard. They get full sun. They are growing well, and we think they are becoming well established. We feel confident that by this time next year, we will see a substantial growth rate.
By: Everett
I purchased 8-10 of these and planted them about 5 ft apart. They grew very slowly and within the last few months they seem to have accelerated growth. The tips ,center shaft, have grown longer without many branches resulting in a skinny center shaft.
By: Carleen
I have planted about 60 of these trees and we love them.
By: Judi in Conway, AR
We used the Thuja Green Giants to screen one side of our swimming pool. They are simply awesome trees. Many of the holes held water after we dug them and we thought we would lose quite a few ,we purchased 15 trees, and only lost one. The others are very vibrant and growing very fast. Theyve already grown 3 feet in less than a year. These very young trees held up in 9 degree temperatures this winter! And the deer just walk past them as if theyre not there. Theres nothing that we can say negative about them. Were very pleased with our purchase.
By: Tia in Burlington, KY
I received your e-mail asking about the Thuja Green Giants I ordered from you. Just wanted to let you know they are doing wonderful. The first year I didnt see a whole lot of change but now that they are established they are really taking off. I planted 11 of them along my back fence row. I have a chain link fence around my property and planted them for more privacy from the neighbors behind me. My next door neighbor does landscaping for the county parks and he commented to me a few weeks ago on how great they are doing. Thanks for checking with me. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and would strongly encourage anyone looking for a little privacy to try these.
By: Stephen from NH
I received the Thujas and they were packed well and came with some starter fertilizer. I was sceptical that they would grow as fast as was promised. Here I am two years later and not only did they hold up very well in the New England winters, but they have more than tripled in size. I am a year or two away from complete privacy from my neighbors!
By: Raymond in North Olmsted, OH
I bought 6 of these to plant on the property line for privacy. When they first arrived I was very impressed with how well they were packaged! I followed the planting directions and today all 6 are doing very well. I want to say that I am truly pleased at the level of customer service that I have received from Fast Growing Trees. They have answered every question or concern that I have had with kindness and I feel that they truly care about there customers satisfaction. I highly recommend Fast Growing Trees Nursery!
By: Mike in Indianapolis, IN
Purchased 4 Thuja Green Giants and planted in a semi-sun/shade area for a little year-round coverage. Theyve been doing well. I expect them to take off this year, as theyve had a year to dig in. No complaints!
By: Kate in Milwaukee, WI
I bought six of these ,3-4ft, trees about 1 year ago because they are supposed to be fast growing and not take up too much space. I live in a house in an urban area with duplexes on either side of my yard. I wanted more privacy from the peeping eyes of the neighbors, so I planted these thujas. So far they arrived in excellent condition, I planted them within a week of receiving them, kept them well watered in the summer and followed mulching guidelines. They grew about 4 inches on average in height in the first year, and did
By: Bill & Julie in Cherry Hill, NJ
We used the thuja fast growing trees alongside our home to create a privacy hedge. They are doing beautifully.
By: Stephanie in Williamsburg, VA
The thujas we ordered were perfect! They have grown a couple feet since we planted them! Yea! Thats what we wanted. No problems with them at all. Maybe well plant some more!
By: Anne in Staten Island, NY
One of the thujas died shortly after I planted it. The two I have left are doing ok - they are about 3 feet tall, but I planted them almost 2 years ago. Growth has been a little slow. But they are alive. ,
By: Chris in Bonney Lake, WA
My first review follow up. It has been ten weeks now and all five thuja green giants are beautiful, green and growing. Id say they are all a foot wider and have grown 6 inches taller. Considering they are planted in road fill on a berm, ,its hard and rocky,, I couldnt be happier with them. The weather is hot in the Northwest right now and Im putting the water to them twice a week. They seem to be loving it. Thanks fast growing trees.
By: DivaG in Austin, TX
I just purchased my new home and my front entrance is closest to my neighbors garage, who always has his trash containers out in front of his garage! I wanted to add some privacy and block out the view of those ugly containers. Since I planted them at least 3-4 feet away from my home with Full to Partial shade I wont get foundation problems later. EVERGREEN, FAST GROWING and PRIVACY!
By: Elena in Driftwood, TX
I bought about 8 and 2 of them were destroyed and the rest are doing GREAT! They are so beautiful!
By: Melinda
This tree purchase was made for a privacy screen at our firehouse. Out of the 14 we bought, only one died after six months, but the others are packing on steady growth. Within a few years they should start to really take off. Overall we are happy with them.
By: Jason
The trees are doing well. They are nice and green, and healthy. I am hoping they will really take off this next year.
By: Jerry in Warwick, RI
I purchased 10 or so Thuja Green Giants from Fast Growing Trees about 3 years ago. I planted them the first season and then the following spring I dug them all up and planted at my new home. I did not want to leave them...they were too nice!!! Anyway all that was back in 2008. Today they are strong, deep green trees over 6 feet in height. When I first dug them out of the ground, they stayed in containers for over two weeks. I was concerned then, but no worries now. They are the super trees that the add states!!! Do not hesitate to buy these trees!
By: Arnaud in Cazadero, CA
i love this tree, i wish it could grow faster.
By: David
Planted as a privacy hedge. I determined that if they grew as fast as advertised, they would be more cost effective with less labor and maintenance than a fence. They got off to a slow start the first year, and I have really been impressed with the second years growth. I think i made the right choice!
By: Susan in Charlotte, NC
My husband planted the Thuja in relatively rocky soil near a fence line. We had a severe drought last year and worried if the Thuja Giant would make it. It did! It is about 6 feet tall now and getting fuller at the bottom, thinner near the top but hopefully it will fill out this summer with normal rain and sprinkling. It looks like a Christmas tree at the moment. I like the fact that it tolerated many different extremes in temperature and still survived.
By: Scott in Effingham, IL
I planted 80 thuja giants as a border to my front and side property in April 2007. They are 7-10 feet tall now on 6 foot spacings. I watch them grow almost year round and people stop by and ask me what they are and I get great comments on them all the time. They will improve your property value where you need privacy and they are very easy to maintain.
By: HB in Michigan
I ordered 53 Thuja Green Giant, 2-3, trees in July 2007. This year, 2009, is their 2nd full season and the height of the trees have surpassed 6 ft. I could not be happier! And they look beautiful in the winter with snow! I would strongly recommend these trees to anyone.
By: Conor in Lexington, KY
I used my thuja green giants as a privacy screen. Bought the smallest ones and already making a difference. Got about 2.5 ft growth in the first year. Very drought resistant, survived the worst drought in KY in years. Were only planted in March and got no watering and are still thriving
By: Lee Anne
We use these trees as a wind block and they are doing nicely. They have grown over 2 feet in the past year and a half and are filling in beautifully. They add a nice evergreen privacy wall to my yard.
By: Ted
The trees are doing relatively well. I wish they had grown more ,they have grown about a foot,, but we have been experiencing extremely hot, dry weather. I have used them on a hillside in some very rocky soil, so I am glad that they have done as well as they have done with relatively little maintenance ,occasional watering,.
By: Shawn
We purchased some of the 1-2 Thujas to eventually hide a neighbors retaining wall. And despite one of the worst droughts that weve seen in Georgia in a long time ,and our neglecting them for nearly 3 weeks when they first arrived because they came just before we left for vacation,, they not only survived but even grew a foot in the last year. I cant wait to see how they do now that the rain levels are getting back to normal. And we have plans to buy more very soon!
By: Neil
I planted 46 thuja giants as a privacy screen along the front border of my property and they look great! Every single one is alive and doing well. Some are growing faster than others, but Im very happy with them.
By: Tim
They grow so FAST! all the neighbors even love them
By: June
The Thuja has a beautiful green color. We planted it last year in October 2007. Looks very healthy.
By: Ken
Really took off in 2nd year, especially after a small bed was made around them. Also, those trees that are exposed to full sun are doing much better than those that receive indirect sunlight.
By: Scot on
Our trees really are growing fast; about 17 inches since last year. We do hope that will fill in next year.
By: Mike
Your package included everything needed to get started, including the fertilizer disc. One of the trees hasnt grown very much at all, but the others have grown a good foot. I was hoping for faster growth, but they seem healthy and continue to grow!
By: Maureen
We purchased 26 of the 1-2 foot Thujas and planted them inside the fence along one side and along the back of our yard. Several are actually approaching 6 feet. A few months after getting the thujas, we ordered 6 Leland cypresses from a different local nursery to put along the other fence line. They were about 5 feet tall, on sale, and I now definitely regret purchasing them. One died, and we replaced it - expensive. The replacement died, and the one next to that as well. Of the 4 Lelands remaining, 2 are almost certainly dead.
By: Wayne
We purchased our trees over a year ago. Had 2 perish but were replaced with a smile and no charge. Thanks! They are doing well. They are lovely, and we look forward to another great growth spurt next year.
By: Holly
I planted 53 Thujas, last summer, around the perimeter of my yard and I can not believe how much they have grown in one season! A growth height between 3 - 5 ft....I cant wait to see how much taller they will be next summer!!!
By: Frank
I've planted many screening trees over the years but these 20
By: Eydie in Bloomington, MN
My Thuja Trees looked a bit sad after last years winter, but with much TLC they came back and in the late summer/fall grew about 2-4 inches. We are having a very cold/snowy/icy winter but I am hopeful that this spring/summer they do what they are suppose to do grow fast, and tall and beautiful! If the do I will be very pleased! Thank you for your follow-up and asking, Eydie.
By: Stacy in Piedmont, TX
My husband and I just bought 29 Thuja Green Giants to plant along a fence line on our property to form a privacy screen...for us AND the neighbors! Im very glad that we finally just jumped in and did it. I was very pleased with how the trees looked when we got them. They were here in right over a week, and when we took them out of the box, they were very neatly laid out, still very green, and they were alert! We planted them four evenings ago, and they are all still green, although two or three are sort of leaning over.
By: Nancy
I planted the two ft. Thuja Green Giant in my back yard. They are about four feet high now.
By: Cucuzza
My house sits on two corner lots. My backyard faces the street on two sides and I wanted privacy. My lot slopes to the back so a fence would not do much good because everyone could see over it. I order 36 tuja green giants. They have been in the grown a few months now and are doing well. I put a weed barrier and about an inch of mulch on average in the entire planing area. I planted them approximately 5 feet apart with a 1 foot stagger. So far they are doing great. they have survied very dry weather. I watered them for about a month but since then they have been doing well on their own.
By: Chris
These are very hardy trees and thrive in any soil. I have a total of 16 Thuja Giants and not one of them has had a problem.
By: Fred
Planted trees 4-5 ft. apart single row to line back yard for pool privacy. Started with 18 in. trees some now are 4 1/2 ft. tall most are 3ft. tall. Very low maintenance. Bought about 50 of these and have lost three of them. Beautiful trees, cant wait to see what they look like in three years.
By: Nancy
These trees were purchased for their flexibility in extreme temperatures and for shade, of course. Theyre well on their way to becoming robust trees!
By: Robert in Forest, VA
I purchased 25 of the 1-2 Thuja Green Giants in September 2008. My son and I planted them within 2 days of receiving them. Today they are 3 ft+ and looking great. I keep them mulched and do not allow grass to grow in the mulch. I also monitor the moisture in the ground near the trees to determine whether or not I need to add water. Ive only had to water them about 4 times in 10 months! I took pictures when I planted them and compare them to what they look like today and it is amazing.
By: Chris in Bonney Lake, WA
Great packing job. I bought the 2 to 3 footers, and thats what they were. Nice root system and put them in right away, followed instructions with the root fertilizer in hard rocky soil and added 50% topsoil in with backfill. Ill update growth progress as it happens. Im curious to see how they do in Washington state.
By: Phil in Mendocino, CA
Both thujas I ordered are now in the open soil and are thriving in the cold fall, and are still growing a foot a month.
By: Jack
Fenced my long driveway. No bugs, grow very fast. Nice looking, good shape, low maintenance etc.
By: Tommy Robertson
This tree came to me very healthy and and is performing exceptionally well. It has grown over 1 foot since I planted it last fall and this is just the beginning of our Summer. I expect it to grow quite a bit more this growing season. I water it a couple of times a week when we have no rain. I have fertilized it once. It is doing great. I would recommend this tree to everyone!
By: NANCY SAUVE
I PURCHASE THESE THUJA GIANT SHRUBS LAST SUMMER.HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH THEM. THEY ARE GROWING FAST. VERY HEALTHY AND HARDY. WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
By: Nannette
We bought approx 30 thuja trees last september and followed all the directions..even put a drip line it..all of our trees have died except about 3 of them. we live in big bear lake, calif and we do get snow but the site said these trees could be planted any time and would grow in extreme cold or heat..not the case..we are very unhappy with these tress and are out of pocket approx 800.00..what a waist of money and time..
By: LaTasha
UPDATE: Since purchasing these trees almost 3 years ago, I have only lost 3. Tried to replace these by purchasing 3 from Lowes. While these started out really pretty and full, within a year, they were turning brown and infested with bagworms (which green giants aren't supposed to be affected by). Needless to say, I will be purchasing 3 new trees through Fast Growing Trees. Guess I should stick with what's been tried and true...
By: Sophia Lynn
I am thoroughly satisfied with the multiple Thuja Green Giants I received last year from Pam's. I also bought Gator Bags to protect my investment, which I recommend.
By: Insook Jo
1st batch were not good, but replacements are growing very well
By: Scott von Glahn
All eight trees are alive and doing well. You all did a great job getting these trees to me. The delivery person was both friendly and very helpful.
By: roger
I have 3 trees, about 3 yrs old, they are doing weel,in poor soil, mostly clay. Be sure and dig a large enough hole, when planting.I may hve crowded mine a bit,by not doing this. Great looking trees, though. no complaints
By: Gary
The first shipment of these that I received were very root bound. But it made little difference. They took off quite nicely. The month of July was so hot that I couldn't keep enough water on the little trees to keep them from cooking. I probably lost 10 out of the 50 that I planted. But the ones that have survived are already growing. I can't wait to see how they do next spring and summer.
By: adam
the trees were amazing, pretty cheap and amazingly tall
By: David
So far, so good. The trees arrived quickly and in great condition, and are starting to grow noticeably now that they're somewhat established. We'll see where they are in a few years, but they're headed in the right direction.
By: Nancy Boyd-Callow
I just planted the trees last spring, so I do not know how fast they will be growing yet? My favorite tree is the aborvite and I have had trouble growing them, I had one for 14 years and it just died on me, so I thought I would try these trees, similar to aborvites but they say they are easy to grow? Hope fully I will not kill them too?
By: MJ
We got our Thuja's last year and they were very well packaged and the plants looked great. They did well over the summer, didn't grow very much but they they started to fill in a bit and so on. Unfortunately deer have rubbed several of my trees done to just the main stem. I don't know if they'll make it through the winter and they are to expensive to replace. So my advice is to make sure before the rut you stake them and burlap them so they can't get to em. Nice trees, hopefully they come back.
By: Roxanne Rosa
We just got our trees yesterday. They arrived looking great, they didn't seem to have any damage or stress from their travels. The only thing, I thought they would be bigger, or hardier. They seem kind of scrawny, but if its true they grow as fast as claimed, they should be fine.
By: Nancy Henkel, Deer Park, NY (Long Island)
About four years ago I ordered 25 Thuja Green Giants. They were 1-2 feet tall. My friends made fun of me and said you'll be waiting forever for them to grow! Now they are eating their words!! The back of my yard has a 15' tall green wall of privacy. One of the best purchases I have ever made! Worth every penny. Now I'm back on this amazing website to order some more.
By: Andrew Brate
Trees arrived in good shape and looked great. We did however have 5 that died but we were given a credit to replace these.
By: Greg Davis
trees are growing now. Had them 1 year and they are thigh high. I did have 1 die and it was replaced.
By: Mark
Planted these in the fall last year and they did fine through the winter, but did not survive the hot summer. I would not recommend these for Las Vegas or other hot climates.
By: Renee Cesario
I was so excited last summer when I read the reviews on these trees. They were exactly what I need to add privacy to my yard. I ordered 12 and planted them exactly as the direction said. They all made it through the Colorado winter but just as they approached the one year warranty mark they ALL started to die. I now have one left. I was able to get a partial refund on a few that were still under warranty but for the most part it was a total loss. The site claimed the Thuja Green Giants would grow fast and were very hardy, and I do not agree with that claim. Mine hardly grew the year I had them and were NOT hardy. Now I have a small credit with Pam's and am not sure what to buy. Disappointed to say the least.

I bought 12 of these trees because the ad said they are hardy, like any soil, and grow fast.
I planted all 12 immediately after receiving them...on three different areas of my property.
I followed the directions to the letter with regard to planting, feeding, and watering.
A couple of the trees grew about 3 inches in 6 months, but they started dying. I have 3 left out of 12 and those three are starting to show signs of dying as well.

Unfortunately, these trees did not do well here in Brownsburg, IN. Between the high winds and the drought, every single one of them died. I planted them last fall and by spring, they were all brown. I was only reimbursed half of the small fortune I spent on these. I

We purchased 8 of the 3-4 ft Thuja Green Giant trees and received them Memorial Weekend 2012. 5 months later, they are doing well and have grown. Very happy with the company & product!

This is our 2nd year with the 25 Thujas we ordered. Waited to post this review so we could be honest with the results. After a HORRIFIC heatwave and drought this past summer our little trees are thriving and look GREAT. We did lose two probably due in part the locatation we chose. We kept them nice and watered and even with the drought and sun beating on them we are hoping that they have established enough to begin the growtg process. They look so great and we know the privacy they will give us will only up our property valu. Thanks Pam and all the people at FGT.

I bought 37 Thuja Green Giants in the Spring and planted them the day they arrived. They arrived looking very healthy and in good shape. I set up a drip system and watered them every other day (2-3 gallons). So far I have only lost two and they have all grown ~12inches since being planted. I can't wait to order another 37 for the south end of our property.

When these trees catch and grow, they are a fantastic screen and grow quickly; and I had a run where 6 in a row caught and grew wonderfully. However, of the last several, all have died but 1. So don't count on not losing some. Consequently, I have gone to a local nursery to replace the dead ones with others locally who guarantee to replace them if they don't survive. As a single woman, dealing with planting, then removing and replanting is more than a little difficult when I don't have reliable help. It is a terrible hassle.

This tree was larger and more beautiful than I expected. Customer service was outstanding, they were packed perfectly and arrived quickly. I have told all of my friends in the garden club about you. I expect we will all be back. Thank you!

We ordered the Thuja Green Giant because we wanted a separation between yards without having to put up a fence. Wisconsin had one of it's hottest summers and not one tree died. They are thriving and so far this winter they still look green and healthy. They didn't grow by the foot but they did grow and that's great. I would buy more if I decide to do the other side of my yard.

These trees will grow in Zone 9. Last April, we ordered 30 trees needing only 28. Two of them struggled and died within three months. We knew we would lose a few, but due to the worst drought last year we lost a total of eleven. The remaining 19 are beautiful and thriving. I just ordered another 12 needing only 9. We hope it will be a milder summer this year and that our lovely trees will survive. Our advice to Zone 9 is to plant these trees in the fall, so they will have plenty of time to adjust and not have to struggle through the summer drought. If you decide to plant in the spring as we have again, I would order the one year plant guarantee or order at least 1/3 more than what is needed. Good luck and remember "Don't Mess with Texas."
