October Glory Maple

I planted this 4/2010. It was about 7 feet tall at the time. I write this in August 2011. I am so amazed with this tree! I think it's probably 14 feet at least, and always has new leaves coming out, even in our hot central Ca climate. Can't wait for fall to see the color!

I used this kit on a morning glory red maple. I planted the tree in an area that was windier than I realized. The tree trunk was starting to take on a curved shape due to the wind. The staking kit allowed me to correct this and allowed the trunk to get strong enough to resist the wind. The tree is now doing well without the staking kit.
