Leyland Cypress on Fast Growing Trees Nursery

I never would have thought to find my trees online, but after the poor service I got at my local nursery I found Fast Growing Trees Nursery, which gave me all the information I needed to get a privacy hedge going. The Leyland Cypress trees I ordered arrived to me in California in great shape and now they are in their happy home. Ill be buying some more plants from this company as spring approaches.

I was given an estimate by a local landscaper of $4,000 to plant 9 Leyland Cypresses in my back yard. I shopped with you and needless to say, I saved a LOT of money, even though two of them didnt make the first few months. You replaced them and they all have taken root and are doing well. I planted these trees as a privacy screen and they are very healthy. I live in San Diego and even with the minimal watering due to drought conditions, my Leyland Cypress trees are completely green and thriving. They are working perfectly for what you said they would do. No complaints.

We bought our leylands to provide a privacy barrier and they are doing very well. They could grow a little faster, however. They definitely like a lot of sun and the ones that have no shade are growing the fastest. They seem to be weathering this cold winter okay so far, but we will know more in a few months.

My leyland cypress is looking good. A great tree, though it took several seasons to really take off. Dont plant too close together or too close to a fence - after 3 years they have a spread of almost 3 feet in any direction ,6ft across,.

Our leyland cypress trees have taken root very well and are flourishing here in Texas, I am very pleased with them. I find them to be particularly attractive in the cool times when they are wet, as they are a lovely shade of blue-green! I have planted them as a sound and site barrier as I reside along a busy street. I havent noticed any detriment about these trees yet.

Initially they turned brown and I thought that one or two of the three would not make it. But partway through the summer they turned green and then this fall have grown about a foot. They look good now and I expect will grow significantly going forward.

I had to cut a birch tree that was growing too close to my home, which was damaging my roof. I purchased a leyland cypress to replace it, and I planted it a few feet farther from my house. The tree arrived very well packed and is doing well. I am very happy with its growth. Excellent tree and company.

Our leylands look green and healthy in claylike soil. Many other types of plants have not done so well in our area due to changes in temp and due to our non-porous soil conditions but these trees seem to have survived and should continue to grow well.

We used the trees for screening and for artful enhancement to our 4 acre home site. That seem to be doing fine although not growing as fast as we had hopes. All in all they are very well adapted to our soil and climate and have survived well when other tree species have not. I would buy them again and probably will again in the spring.

The Leyland Cypress is a great & hardy tree. I planted them in early spring and the trees did great. Growing about a foot the first year and filled out alot. Most trees dont grow much in their first year but the Leyland Cypresses took right off. I cant wait to see what theyll do this year. I am going to buy more to give me a fast fence row.

We use our evergreens for privacy between our home and the neighbors. These leylands are very strong, they have grown two feet in very hard and dry soil. We have not encountered anything that isnt great about our evergreens. I love our California trees!

I purchased approximately 3 dozen leyland cypress trees over a year ago and have been pleased. They are serving as a fine wall barrier and border in my backyard. I have noticed an increase in size already which was one of the reasons for this species selection.

I placed this tree into a dead area that only weeds seem to grow. My object was to start a tree that will grow high enough to fill an empty area, provide privacy, and a decorative touch. It has grown over 18 inches already. it also takes in the sun well so the care for it was minimal.

I live in Central FL and planted Leyland Cypress. The soil is mostly sandy and these trees took off - within 4 years they are 18 feet tall and very full.

When my 5 leyland cypress trees were delivered they were about 12 inches high. I planted them between 4-5 feet apart as per the instructions. Two years later they have reached the top of my 6 ft. fence! They are well established and I look forward to when they block out my neighbors as I am using them for a privacy screen. I plan on purchasing more for the other side. I cant wait to see how much faster they grow this spring.

I purchased 10 Leyland Cypress trees for a screen in my back yard. In a little over a year they have virtually covered the view of the house behind mine and are growing so fast that soon the utility wires that are run on the backs of the property line will not be visible by next year. They are very healthy looking and once established easy to maintain. I am very happy with my tree purchase and would use Fast Growing Trees Nursery again.

These leylands took quite a while to recover from the shock of planting. They have finally started producing new growth the last two months. They are hardy and have endured the heat and humidity of NW Florida.

My wife and i ordered 11 leyland cypress trees for privacy in our back yard . when they arrived they were packaged carefully and looked very healthy. we planted within 2 days and now one year later they have doubled in size and 3 of them are now 6 feet tall, not bad when you consider they were 2.5 feet tall when they arrived.

They seem to be doing quite well however havent grown very much, I was hoping for more filling in and more height. We watered them during any dry spells and they get a fair amount of sun. The good news is that they appear pretty healthy.

We bought 26 Leyland Cypress and once they are established fully it will look great. Only thing I am starting to worry about is a couple of them are turning dark almost black around the stems. They have only been in the ground for maybe 2 weeks now and I am just a worry bug. Do they need more water? Less water? I live in Texas so its always hot here and my plants are in sunlight almost all day long. Help? Other than that I love the trees!

I purchased 89 baby lelands 12 yrs. ago as a "L" shaped privacy fence between 2 neighbors. I have a corner lot. I mistakenly had a yard guy plant the trees 4 ft apart rather than 6 ft. Now I'm paying for it! No diseases on the trees, however the branches are growing into one another and the soil is being drained of necessary nutrients to support all these trees. I live in Greensboro, NC northeast where the water and soil is "hard." Need to find a reasonably priced tree firm to cut down about 12 of these trees.

I bought 6 of the pretties Leyland Cypress trees I think I have ever seen about 6 years ago and they grew to be exactly what I wanted. I think at this time they are about 15 feet tall looking beautiful. Then 1 day darkness fell on my trees, I noticed several cocoon looking things attaching to the needles and then there were more and more . I found something to treat them but by then the trees were dying. 1 by 1 I have lost all but 1 and it has a few spots on it but who knows whether it will live or not. These deadly things were found to be Bag Worms. A word to the wise if you see any they spread like fire and are deadly. Hopefully you will find something that will kill them faster than I did because I loved my trees and were proud of them and now I am afraid to plant any that Bag Worms Attack because I don't want this to happen again. I plan to try another kind this time the Thuja Green Giant it is said that Bag Worms don't attack these. BEWARE OF BAGWORMS !!! BE LIKE A SCOUT AND BE PREPARED!!!!!dont get hurt.

This is just as described feather soft evergreen. I planted in Sept 2012 and it has grown 1 ft all ready arrived as all 9 other trees in great condition and within 3 days of shipping.

the trees were badly trimmed, too much sides removed prior to shipping.they have taken a long time to settle in,but seem to be growing now,next year will tell.

The site was so well organized, I found what I needed within a few key strokes. Ordered 5 Leyland Cypress & when they arrived I was thrilled with everything about them. Hardy, great smelling, fantastic green trees which were packed like nothing I have every seen before. Such care was taken with these gorgeous trees, that I ordered 10 more! They are growing beautifully near our Atlantic coast line. I measure them once a month & on average they have grown 3" to 4" each month. Place an order for whatever you need you will be happy you did.

I planted 10 Leylands 2 and a half years ago lining my driveway to give me privacy from neighbors. I trim them on the sides and top when permitted and they are doing great. They survived the big Hurricane Sandy very well even though I lost 3 other trees from the 70 mile an your winds which fell in their direction. I have previously planted single Leylands in the front of my house which faces north and was told they would never grow tall due to lack of sun exposure. Well, these leylands had to be trimmed back several times already and keep growing past the roof of my house. They are all beautiful and so graceful too. They are my favorite and are very healthy. I will sprinkle some Holly Tone on the ground around all my ever greens very shortly before the heat sets in. So happy with these evergreens!!!

I bought a Leyland cypress during Fall 2011 .... I was a bit disappointed at first , although the tree was very healthy, it looked more like a stick than a tree...two years later the cypress is majestic looking, almost doubled its size. I am going to order new ones!
