A Dense Hedge of Color, Quickly
Why Tri-Color Dappled Willow Shrubs?
The Tri-Color Willow Hedge Shrub, or 'Dappled Willow', is an amazing new shrub that can be planted to form a colorful 8 to 10-foot privacy hedge. Heavy branching means that the stunning Tri-Color Willow grows quickly and beautifully.
In fact, you can expect a full hedge after the first few growing seasons, along with ethereal beauty that makes an effortlessly elegant statement. Even better? It's easy to prune if you want it kept short.
And its rounded or weeping silhouette makes it a great accent plant as well. Put one at the corner of your home to liven up dull spots with vivacious, eye-catching vibrancy.
Plus, new growth emerges with a rich pink tint that leaves a fresh impression. During spring, your Dappled Willow Shrub will come alive, with an array of branches full of light green foliage and a hint of white on each leaf. The Tri-Color truly lives up to its name in color variation and graceful good looks.

Rough Start But Years Later They Are Strong!
I planted about a dozen of these dappled willows about 4-5 years ago. Despite being deer resistant the deer chowed down on them 2 years in a row. I had to pull 1 or 2 bushes out of the ground because they died. The others survived and most of them are huge 8-10ft tall. I plan to plant a dozen more and this time I’m going to fence them off until they mature. All in all I highly recommend them with the understanding that deer will eat anything.

After 6 years
When I got these in the Spring 2020, these were single sticks about knee high. THEY ARE GIANTS NOW! (That's a 6' privacy fence in the photo for reference) I trim them every year to shape, but if I had left them alone, they would have dominated everything around them. They get full sun, I don't water them, but my area gets abundant rainfall. They do get pretty gnarly looking in the winter, but for me that's November though March. I have a field out back and I'm curious to see what one would do planted on it's own out there.
Beautiful Little Trees
I received these quickly and they were in good condition. I'm very happy with them and I can't wait to see them grow. I love their colors.
