Pesticides on your Supermarket Fruit

A new study released by the Environmental Working Group shows that significant amounts of chemicals can be absorbed into fruit.

If you thought you were safe by just washing or peeling your fruit, you may want to reconsider your choices.

Apples, peaches and cherries were shown to absorb the most chemicals, with berries not far behind.

But planted in your own backyard, these fruit trees are easily grown with no pesticides at all.

Fruits that are indented at the top tend to puddle chemicals… the stem then pulls the pesticides into the interior of the fruit. You can scrub your fruit all you want, but you can’t get rid of it.
