Impressed with the quality
Looks like it had a minor issue with shot hole fungus, but the tissue damage was not anywhere near severe enough to compromise the plant. It would likely have recovered just fine on its own, but I administered a foliar application of copper hydroxide at a 2tsp/1gal dilution ratio just to be safe. The tree has fully recovered and it’s growing rapidly. Excellent specimen. Healthy roots, strong struck, excellent branch structure, and despite being planted in full sun in Zone 8b in clay soil, she’s thriving. Much healthier than other trees of the same species sold by all four nurseries in my area, cheaper too!
