Fast Growing Trees Nursery has chosen to discontinue the Willow Oak tree, mainly due to the amount of insect & disease problems this tree attracts. This tree is susceptible to:
• Rotting & fungus
• Common cankers & trunk borers
• Carpenterworms
However, we offer many superior trees that you may want to consider instead of the willow oak.
Weeping Willow trees are very popular throughout the areas where Willow Oaks can grow. Weeping Willows can survive a variety of growing conditions... often in areas that would kill other trees. They are highly tolerant to flooding, and have been known to grow up to 8 ft. per year.
If you're interested in another oak tree, try the Sawtooth Oak. It's the fastest growing oak tree, growing up to 3 ft. per year, and can grow in most areas.
