Need privacy in a hurry? This is the tree for you. Grows up to 3-5 ft. per year when established, and gives you dense evergreen privacy all year long. Very easy to grow, and it resists diseases & insects too!

The Thuja Green Giant is the Fastest Growing  Evergreen Tree (3-5 feet per year once established). Easily grows into a thick, compact privacy screen.

"Quickly screen out neighbors or unsightly areas....without taking up a lot of yard space..."

• Grows up to 3-5 feet per year once established
• Drought tolerant
• Disease & insect resistant
• Easy to grow & very adaptable

Thuja green giants grow in a uniform shape and height. You get that classic French Renaissance look without having to prune or shear.

In fact, you don't have to do anything to them. They're drought tolerant and have no significant insect or disease problems.

Thuja Giants are a popular alternative to pest prone evergreen trees like hemlocks and pines.

You'll never have to worry about mixing chemicals or spraying these trees. Thujas are more resistant to deer and bagworm problems than other evergreens.

Mature Height: 20 ft. in row
40 ft + alone
Mature Width: 5 ft. in row
10-15 ft. alone
Sunlight: Full or Partial
Soil Conditions: Adaptable
Drought Tolerance: Good
Time to Plant:
All Year Long

This is a tough tree. It resists ice and snow damage, and grows in almost any soil... even sandy loam or heavy clays. Thujas prefer direct sunlight, but also do well in partial shade.

The Thuja Green Giant is the perfect fast growing evergreen for a privacy hedge or wind screen. Plant every 5-6 feet for a thick barrier.

You can easily trim them once a year to your desired height. If left unpruned, Thuja Green Giants planted in rows can reach as high as 20-30 feet.

Your Thuja foliage stays soft & thick all year long.

Beware... all Thuja Green Giants are not the same. Some nurseries sell newly rooted, Thuja branch cuttings as plants. Thuja Giants are a hybrid and don’t grow from seed. They are started by planting branch cuttings.

We take these rooted cuttings and grow them in large pots for a full 1-2 years longer than our competitors, depending on the size of the tree. This way you get a hardy, well developed root system that is ready to support rapid growth.

Many nurseries try to sell you newly rooted Thuja branch cuttings as evergreen trees. They’re not only delicate, but you’ll see very little growth the first year. They have to establish a stronger root system first. Often these are sold as “bare root” or in small pots.

We understand that you don’t want to wait for your trees to grow. You can be assured that when you order from Fast Growing Trees Nursery, you are getting the highest quality, fastest growing Thuja Green Giants available.

For quickest privacy, we now have a limited supply of large trees available. They sell out every year, so we recommend that you order yours now.

I am an experienced gardener but have not dealt much with trees so I might have stretched a bit with taking on putting in a large hedge. However, I was desperate to get a privacy screen at the back corner of my property. I purchased seven of the 5 ft. green giants and planted them in large tree planters. I was extremely pleased with the trees when they arrived. They were all as tall or taller than promised and in very nice condition. I planted in late spring which is tough on a plant in Texas since the big heat comes early, but all survived and thrived through the hot summer. I lost one the next year and could not figure out why, but the remaining six are now about 9 feet tall after only 20 months and they have done well through two hot summers, a mild winter, and now a tough winter. (Gotta love any plant that can handle both 106 degrees and 18 degrees.) We had a horrible outbreak of web worms in the spring, but they didn't touch the Green Giants and I have not used any pesticide on the trees at all. Looks like I'm going to get the quick and beautiful privacy hedge I wanted.

We used the Thuja Green Giants to screen one side of our swimming pool. They are simply awesome trees. Many of the holes held water after we dug them and we thought we would lose quite a few (we purchased 15 trees) and only lost one. The others are very vibrant and growing very fast. They've already grown 3 feet in less than a year. These very young trees held up in 9 degree temperatures this winter! And the deer just walk past them as if they're not there. There's nothing that we can say negative about them. We're very pleased with our purchase.

These trees have fought off deer, insects, direct sun in the summers, ice and sub zero temperatures in the winters. We would recommend these trees to anyone. The trees are doing relatively well. I wish they had grown more (they have grown about a foot), but we have been experiencing extremely hot, dry weather. I have used them on a hillside in some very rocky soil, so I am glad that they have done as well as they have done with relatively little maintenance (occasional watering).

We purchased our trees over a year ago. Had 2 perish but were replaced with a smile and no charge. Thanks! They are doing well. They are lovely, and we look forward to another great growth spurt next year.

I planted 53 Thujas, last summer, around the perimeter of my yard and I can not believe how much they have grown in one season! A growth height between 3 - 5 ft....I can't wait to see how much taller they will be next summer!!!

My neighbors and I are extremely happy with the trees we purchased this Spring. I have 17 in my yard, and every one has grown over a foot since planting in our unpredictable Nebraska weather.  Both my neighbors's trees are doing equally well.  We are all thrilled!

"The trees you sent out are taking just beautifully. We ordered mostly Leyland Cypress, and Thuja Giants... It was so nice to open the boxes and have those healthy, gorgeous plants come out. You did a great job of packing them too. I can't tell you how nice it is to have those beautiful trees in the ground."
