Sunlight
Can grow in a range from full sun to partial shade. They need at least four hours of direct, unfiltered sunlight per day.

So, you'll never have to worry about mixing chemicals or spraying these trees. With proper care, Thujas aren't typically prone to deer or bagworm problems. This is a tough tree. Resists ice and snow damage. Grows in almost any soil, even sandy loam or heavy clays. Prefers direct sunlight, but also does well in partial shade.
The Thuja Green Giant is the perfect fast-growing evergreen for a privacy hedge or windscreen. Plant one every 5 to 6 feet and they quickly create a dense barrier. You can easily trim them once a year to your desired height. Left unpruned, Thuja Green Giants planted in rows can reach as high as 30 to 50 feet. Your Thuja foliage stays soft and thick all year long.

I ordered 12 of these and I was very please with the quality, time of delivery and how they were packaged. i will definetly order again!
So far so good
We bought 90 trees so far. Our first batch we ordered 40. They were delivered with brown leaves at the top of every one. Before ordering the rest (and still have more to go), i reached out to find out why this was and got an immediate response. “ When the cold weather sets in, it's quite common for evergreens to develop a bronze appearance, a phenomenon known as winter bronzing. Winter bronzing is entirely normal and results from chlorophyll shutting down, revealing the true color of the leaf. You'll observe a range of colors from olive drab to bronze-purple, often signaling your evergreen's transition into dormancy for the winter. Despite the bronzing, your tree's branches should remain flexible and not snap when bent. Many trees, especially young ones, may bronze on their tops in the fall and winter. Adequate watering until the first freeze can help minimize bronzing, but in extremely harsh winters, it might be unavoidable. Some needle and bud loss due to cold damage may occur, but rest assured, the tree will regain its greenery with warm weather!” With this response, we immediately ordered the other set. I will update my review as time goes on. Otherwise, seems we will be ordering more as we continue to renovate and update our new home.

Best Living Privacy Fence!
I ordered these trees over 15 years ago. I think the are the best feature of our entire backyard. Planted them five feet apart and they grew quickly and are over 20 feet tall now. Our yard backed up to three other neighbors yards and this created a beautiful year round privacy fence. It been a wonderful backdrop to our yard. Can't say enough good things about these trees. So hardy even in our coldest and snowy winters and drought resistant too in our hot summers. We have never had any issues with diseases or insects. Best evergreen trees I have ever purchased.
