Planted my maple to act as a shade tree, wind breaker tree, to give some color in the fall amongst other maple trees. The tree has really grown this year, which I am glad to see. The color on the leaves this fall are beautiful. Can't wait for the tree to grow more so it will be in its glory in the fall. Nothing negative.

The Scarlet Red Maple is hardy and fit for this climate and I planned to use it as an ornament to balance out the deep green of the pines around my property. It started as planned but came to a sad halt when my well-intentioned but ill informed father-in-law mutilated the tree with a weed eater. I plan to replace it soon and look forward to the radiant color it will bring to this somewhat monochromatic landscape.

My maple is a bit overshadowed by a Colorado Ash, but it is still thriving. It really has an interesting stem and leaf. The stem is always a blood red, and the leaves are beginning to turn that famed fall scarlet red. I love maples in general, but this one is a great showpiece for my front yard.

Tree planted in back yard for shade and beauty. Our area experienced an unusually wet summer, so the little tree thrived without additional water. When planted, I trimmed the whip so only about 1/2 of the limbs remained. It has doubled in size this growing season. No pests or observable illness.
