Review the October Glory here... |

Reviewed by Brad on 11/12/2008: I planted the October Glory Maple tree in my front yard. I know when it gets large enough it will provide much needed shade to help keep my bedrooms cool in the hot Florida sun. This tree has grown about 3 feet just in the first year. I have no complaints about this tree. Beautiful colors have started to show and appears to be disease free. I highly recommend this tree if you want shade and color and no worries.

Reviewed by Bel Air Gardener on 11/12/2008: My red maple really started getting tall this year. It is now about 7 feet tall. The leaves this fall were so red they almost seemed to glow. It is wonderful that it starts its show of red after most of the other trees have finished their color change. The October Glory adds a final spark of color to my garden as winter approaches. It is really quite striking and make a nice match for a burning bush I also have in the yard.

Reviewed by Jennifer on 11/12/2008: We originally ordered it last Fall but due to a minor setback with the trees we couldn't receive it until the Spring (which ended up being fine). It was packaged well and looked healthy upon arriving. We planted our tree a few days later and it started to grow additional branches quickly. It is now thriving and the leaves turned a magnificant orange-red this Fall. I am excited to watch our tree grow each year and would purchase a tree again from Fast Growing Trees Nursery.

Reviewed by Sooner Jim on 11/12/2008: I received my new sapling very quickly, followed the easy directions of how to plant it. It grew very quickly (like a weed!) It looked very beautiful when fall came and held its colorful leaves longer than the other trees.

Reviewed by Brenda on 11/12/2008: We bought this product to plant in memory of our son that passed away last November. We were very excited about the tree since we had shopped around and found that this tree was desribed as a fast growing tree. The tree had beautiful leaves this year though. For the beauty of tree though it was worth it. I can't wait to see it get bigger and have a big beautiful tree in the fall.

Reviewed by Keith on 11/12/2008: I bought this tree to mark the grave of loved family pet. The tree itself showed up healthy and well packaged. The planting instructions were easy. Plus I looked up to some tips on line and it didn't appear to be rocket science. Georgia has had a bit of a drought the duration of the time I've had this tree in my yard. So carrying it water on a regular basis has become the norm since it's little roots don't go deep into the soil yet. We have a 60 foot maple right next to it that is droubt proof I believe. But It's had 20 years to get there. Anyway, the tree seems to be healthy. My only minus is that the color of the leaves is are a little sickly so far. No much of a popping red. Just sort of a old weathered look with brown spots and not a lot of vibrant color. Some sources I checked out say this is normal for young trees and as they get older they get more vibrant. So we will see.
