Some easy steps for planting your Willow Hybrid Tree |

Step 1 - Dig Your Hole
The Willow Hybrid tree grows best in a sunny site. It will also do well in a variety of soil conditions including soil that is very wet. To plant a hedge, place stakes five to six feet apart and loop twine around them to mark out a visual guide. Plant the trees where the stakes are and they’ll grow together to make a dense privacy screen. Dig each hole about twice the diameter of the root system and slightly shallower than the root ball. To allow the roots to easily penetrate the walls of the hole, use your shovel or other garden tool to scrape the soil on the sides and bottom of the hole. |

Step 2 - Place Your Tree
Next, gently separate the roots with your fingers and place them facing down in the hole. Adjust each tree so that the best side is facing where you want it. Make sure each Willow Hybrid tree is straight up in the hole (a level is very helpful here). The top of the root ball should be about an inch above the surrounding soil. |

Step 3 – Backfill Your Hole Apply water as you backfill the hole with soil to remove any air pockets. Water your Willow Hybrid well after the transplant is complete. It is recommended that you mulch around the tree to a depth of 2"-3" keeping a small circle around the tree trunk that is not covered with mulch. |
