These easy instructions will get your Dynamite Crape Myrtle off to a great start!

Step 1 - Dig the Hole
The best spot for planting a Dynamite Crape Myrtle tree is an area with moist soil and full to partial sun. Dig a hole approximately twice the diameter of the root system and about an inch shallower than the root ball. Then loosen the soil on the walls of the planting hole so the roots can easily penetrate the soil.
Step 2 - Place the Tree
Set the tree in the planting hole. The top of the root ball should be slightly above the surrounding soil. Next, spread out the roots in the hole. Now make sure the tree is straight up and down. If there is a preferred side to your Dynamite Crape Myrtle tree, turn it where you can see it.
Step 3 – Backfill the Hole
As you fill the hole back in with soil, apply water to remove air pockets. Water well again after the transplant is complete. Adding mulch will help retain moisture and improve the acidity of the soil. It is recommended that you place mulch to a depth of 2"-3" up to but not touching the trunk.
