Planting Arizona Cypress Evergreen trees are trouble-free!

Step 1 - Dig the Hole
When choosing the planting site for your Blue Sapphire Cypress Evergreen tree, keep in mind they prefer most any soil and full to partial sun. Dig the hole about twice the diameter of the root system, and about equal to the depth of the root ball. If you’re planting a hedge, outline a visual guide by placing stakes several feet apart and looping twine around them. Plant the trees where the stakes are and they’ll grow together to make a seamless hedge. To allow the roots to easily penetrate the sides of the hole, use your shovel or other garden tool to scrape the soil on the sides of the hole.

Step 2 - Place the Tree
Set your Blue Sapphire Cypress Evergreen in the planting hole and spread out the roots. Then make sure the tree is straight up and down in the hole. The top of the root ball should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.
Step 3 – Backfill the Hole
Next, backfill the hole with soil. Finely chop up the backfilled soil and remove any grass or other debris. Water the backfill as you go to remove any air pockets. After the transplant is complete, water your Blue Sapphire Cypress Evergreen tree again well. Finally, mulch around the tree to a depth of 2"-3" keeping a small circle around the tree trunk that is uncovered. This will keep the moisture in and slow down the growth of weeds and grass.
