Simple planting instructions for your Autumn Purple Ash Tree |

Step 1 - Dig Your Hole Autumn Purple Ash trees tolerate just about any soil conditions but prefer a site with partial to full sun. First, dig a hole about twice the diameter of the root system and slightly shallower than the root ball. You may want to put the soil in a wheel barrow since you'll be using it for backfill later. It is also suggested that you loosen the soil on the walls of the planting hole so the roots can spread out more easily. |

Step 2 - Place Your Tree Next, use your fingers to gently separate the roots and guide them downward in the hole. Make sure your Autumn Purple Ash tree is straight up and down in the hole (a level is very helpful here). Adjust the tree so that the best side is where you can see it. |

Step 3 – Backfill Your Hole Add water as you fill the hole back in with soil to remove any air pockets. Water your Autumn Purple Ash tree again after you're finished back filling. It is also recommended that you place mulch around the plant to a depth of 2"-3" and up to but not touching the trunk. This will keep the moisture in and will slow down the growth of weeds and grass. |
